und für alle die nicht gut englisch können finde ich es gut dass du die lebensmittel auf englisch benennst..so lernt man immer bissal mit :)

    herzliche grüsse aus österreich

  • you should try green tea is good for heath :)

  • I think to buy vegetables and fruits is cheaper than to buy fast food every day!

  • coop rulez !

  • leider ist dieses Brot nicht sonderlich gesund, weil es viele Zusatzstoffe hat und oftmals nur eingefärbt wird,um gesund auszusehen :( versuch mal bio Brote, sehr lecker, viel gesünder :)

  • We have most of those in the States too.

  • we have pickled herring but (in the same "brine" as you have there and in cream sauce) but not wrapped with cukes.

  • In Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada) We have easy access in regular grocery stores to whole grain breads, especially those small packs of German breads, and we have pickled herring everywhere. Normally kept in with the fish, and for some reason the pickled eggs are put with them. There's always at least one variety of pickled herring.

  • pickled herring rules

  • Sehr hilfreiches Video. Weiter so!

  • HEALTHY FOOOOOOOOOOOOOD <3 THUMS UP!!!

  • id remove the meat/dairy/coffee/black tea/eggs and nail polish and go all organic+nuts of all kinds and much more veggies/fruits and than u and ur boyfriend would feel even better :)

Mach weiter so .

  • why in the hell there is a high school prom memories recommendation on the right side??

  • I love this Mozarella cheese! I'm using the same as you! Cause we have it in Poland lol. It's so yummy!

  • Love Rollmops! we have those in Canada!

  • every time i cross into Mexico i stock up as well on basics lke sugar, spices etc.way fresher and organic. the peppers are totally good also and cheap. only problem you have to have them de seeded in order to pass through customs. we in the US over process and sterilize so much that even a watermelon smells good but has no taste all

  • That's handy about the Netherlands and Germany: same stores, same products :D Yeah for me haha.

  • Oh my word. I am addicted to these videos.

I've been watching Misschievous videos forever so I don't know why I didn't subscribe before. :)

  • hey ihave a question.. im a student and id also like to watch my food but since my mom works full-time i often just what whats at home and we do have healthy food but there are a lot of microwave dishes. do you have any advice for me on how to eat a little more healthy cause honestly im sick of these microwave stuff. thanks in advance and greetings from germany :)

  • @geenaworld eat*

  • Is this really low carb? I looks more like eating clean :)

    I like it!!

  • so is this pretty much for 1 week? or do you shop more often than once a week?

  • so nice to see such videos with european products :D

  • you got very beautiful hand :)

  • very interesting

  • Plain yogurt is a VERY wise idea.

  • Oh I now hear you say Switzerland.. cool, I love that country :-)

  • I'm from Holland and I eat most of the same things, haha so cool, where do you live?

  • we have that exact kind of mozzarella here in Canada

  • Everything that was shown here can be found in north America. It may be called something different, but I eat many of the same things and I shop at Fred Meyer. (chain grocery store)

  • i've tried plain yougurt, and it wasnt that good.. is "light" or low fat vanilla yogurt okay?

  • @dixiedolly12449... Get vanilla greek yogurt its either low fat or fat free naturally .. its thick, creamy and absolutely delicious! It doesn't have that bitter yogurt taste and it has more calcium and protein then regular yogurt. I also buy bagged frozen fruit (not pie filling or anything in sugar syrup just plain bagged frozen fruit) and I defrost and add that too the greek yogurt... and it taste a thousand times better then that overly sugary fruit at the bottom yogurt cups

  • yeah, i am wondering too

how can a tomato be a snack?

    (sarcasm)

  • You're one of the healthiest people I've seen on youtube. I've looked at other people and I was getting worried when some of them were preaching how healthy they eat when everything was process can food except for the bread....lol

Well thanks alot you've helped me lose a stone and keep it off ^_^

  • you don't have Quark in North America?!? you missed something in live... I'm from germany.

  • it's surprising that quark is a rarity outside of europe :O i live in hungary and we eat it all the time... :))

  • Quark is prtty much the same as Greek Yogurt.the "FAGE" brand total 0 is the best I have found. Tastes fresh and just like quark.

  • Do you have COOP in Switzerland?

  • what do you do when you get cravings??? like a sweet tooth or a chips craving?

  • Unfortunately in australia we can't get "real" mozzarella. Which really sucks because I love it, and love to make tomato salads with it.

  • @cyanidexdoll Well, at least where I live haha.

  • The store that I work at Wegman's has all of this stuff - we're not that deprived :) We do have an abundance of nonsense food though...for sure.

  • you'd be surprised how readily available "real" mozzerella cheese & whole grain breads is... lol you crack me up with your proper pronounciation :) look forward to your next shopping trip

  • How often do you go shopping and how do you store your veggies? I have a hard time keeping veggies for more than a week as they start to go bad quickly.

  • your yogurt containers are cute!! lol i like the flowers and yes we do have whole grain bread readily available lol i like pumpernickel break or however you spell it!!

  • condiments~aaacccck! ketchup is so full of sugar! i use alot of fresh herbs instead! fresh veggies, beans, cheese~~~yummy! you go girl!

  • I don't like Pickled Herring but you can get it at store in North America. My BF has some in the fridge and my mother ate it every year for New Years Day as some sort of good luck think.

  • @jocelynmyers oops "thing"

  • @Honey96Chick no l live more at the contryside, in the middle of the contry :-) its so nice there.

  • we have rollmops in Norway as well, but we call it sur sild. hehe

  • @cabulin123

Sursild, thats a funny name, i have allways wanted to visit Norway !

  • @Honey96Chick yes it a wery funny name, hehe and norway is å beatyful contry to visit, I recommend most warmly to take the hurtigruten from Bergen to the churches, it's a week's cruise along the coast, but very beautiful trip.

  • @cabulin123 Do you live in the capital?

    Sounds like fun :)

  • I wanted to mention even if you dont eat low carb you can still eat healthy cheaply. I buy a lot of fresh fruit and veggies at farmers markets in the summer its ten times cheaper than grocery stores, cereals hot and cold are often cheap and good for you, chicken and fish are realtivily afforadable. Frozen fruit and veggies can be purchased at resaonable prices for dinners and fruit to add to yoguart or make smoothies for snacks or breakfast. Where there is a will there is a way on any budget

  • whats pickeled harring ?

  • @miss0ashton its herring, a fish. in germany is pickled herring known as "Rollmops"

  • Its called Greek Yogurt.. and yes you can find it anywhere :)

  • Can you make a cooking video for that stuffs??? I love to watch it! pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Can you give the recipe for the salad you make with the mozzerella cheese? Sounds good!

  • you can get authentic mozzarella here (in water)...its sold a fresh and easy, and other markets >:0

  • Yeah, my grandpa eats pickled herring ALL of the time, he's Swedish and lives in NYC. I live in Seattle and you can buy it at the store here, but no one I know does. xD

  • Cucumber inside rollmops? Ewwww! Didn't you mean onions?

  • You can try Greek style yogurt. They're higher in protein and have 0 carbs.

  • @MissChowChow84

No yoghurt with no carbs. Even the "source" zero sugar and very low calories contain 12 carbs

  • @MissChowChow84 yes but a lot of kcal..... i'm from Greece. its really healthy and it taste great but its not so good for a diet i think....

  • @MissChowChow84 Which brand do you buy that is 0 carbs? Thanks

  • @ABeautyAddict I haven't purchased Greek yogurt in a while so I can't remember the exact name of the brand but I did purchase it at a Freshco. I think it might've been Astro.

  • i'm irish and my dad always eats rollmops ! & low fat creme friache can be used instead of quark but u can get it

here although its hard to find. if you are gona use creme friache make sure

it's a low fat version as some brands can be kind of high .

  • I just had some pickled herring! I'm from America but my mother is from Russia and we're Jewish so we always have that stuff in our house. That and lox. It's absolutely delicious! I have it with a nice piece of whole grain bread. What you're doing has inspired me to eat healthier now. Best of luck!

  • Congratulations on your upgraded eating plan. It is important to stress that people should focus on choosing the right kind of carbohydrates instead of no carbs as they are not evil as set out by certain fad diets but a vital part of optimal health. Your examples of fruit, whole grain bread, oats, and beans are all excellent sources. Your meal plan also seems well balanced, which makes your approach a long-term one and increases your chances for success of permanent and healthy weight loss.

  • ♥♥♥♥ im so hungry im goin 2 mcdonalds ♥♥♥♥

  • @91AMANDABOO LMAO....me too

  • I'm very luck since I live on the western part of the US...fruit/veg/non processed are pretty cheap. We have everything you do, even pickled herring. :-) Congrats on the weight reduction and best wishes.

  • I found the whole grain bread at Kroger marketplace in the international section it is made in Germany.

  • yayy!! you cook thai food <3 i love you even more! xxx LOL

  • Ich glaub ich esse gleich erstmal eine Scheibe Schwarzbrot <3

  • You can find the german whole grain bread at world market in most cities (in the US)

  • You can find the german whole grain bread at world market in most cities

  • I <3 the COOP! much better then Migros

  • my family lives on pickled hearings, they're in the majority of stores in north america if you know which shelf/category to look in. too slimy for me though.

  • love love love this video!

  • @aviisawierdo, Don't forget about the rest of scandinavia!:P We're all healty whole grain eaters!^^ knekkebrød <3

  • I love seeing all of the Swiss groceries! This is so cool, especially being from North America. I definitely recognized the pickled herring right away, because my dad used to eat a lot of it in some kind of sauce when I was a kid.

  • Julia, what about the bred and fish that you had in a bottle, you CAN buy them at any big store in America, we are not eating just "American food" like some people think, that there is just unhealthy food in our stores etc. it's not like that ))))

  • you have a tomato as a snack? how?

  • @ElectricLadyT i eat them as snacks to u can slice them or wedge them n sprinkle with salt or pepper n ear em there good

  • @ElectricLadyT You take one, put it in your mouth, chew and swallow :D

  • @ElectricLadyT balsamic vinegar. 'nough said.

  • @ElectricLadyT wash it, slice it, put it in your mouth and then chew ;)

  • @ElectricLadyT you can just wash and eat tomatoes.... especially cherry tomatoes, i pop them in my mouth all the time!

  • @ElectricLadyT Hold it in your hand, open your mouth and put the tomato in. Close your mouth and chew!

  • @ElectricLadyT eat it like an apple... that's how I've had it my whole life. tomatoes are delicious.

  • @ElectricLadyT bite into it like an apple? ;D jk, personally im not a huge fan of tomatoes so that would be gross :P i know a little girl that does that with bell peppers o-o maybe she tosses it a little bit with something?? idk o-o

  • @ElectricLadyT Slice it and sprinkle a bit of salt on it or slice it and eat it with a small serving of vinaigrette :)

  • @ElectricLadyT she probably cuts them first, not eating them like an apple lol

  • @NaomiIsSoAwesome98 I eat mine like apples xD

  • @azrrah Oh really?? haha XD

  • good video im going to try some of that food because i am on a diet.

  • "This is Rollmops..." That one really made me laugh X3 I like your new diet and I'm definitely gonna try a healthier diet too, because there is soooo much sugar in sooo many things. This is so unhealthy.... Greetings from Hamburg <3

  • How many carbs do you eat in one day?

  • Well done; thanks for sharing with us about eating healthier and how to shop.

  • Yup-Yup we do have whole grain bread in the U.S.A or "North America", and fresh mozzarella, Quark. We are multi-cultural so we have no problem finding anything from other countries.

  • @lovelypinkshoelaces The whole grain bread available in Germany/Switzerland/Nordic countries is a very moist whole grain bread and I have never seen anything similar in the states.

  • Whole Grain Bread is from Denmark and is called rugbrød :)

Thats our main bread actually :) Healthy by being born in Denmark, yay :p

Just a thing i'm proud of and wanted to share XD

  • Quark is available in North America, as is the fresh mozzarella. Rollmops are sometimes available in specialty stores or you could make your own.

  • Ist das LIDL ? Oder hoffer?

  • @ixolite thanks for the information. I wasn't looking solely for peanut butter though...lol. I was just saying things are pricey here, but then again I thought they were back home. Never know do you? lol. Anyway, I LOVE Nutella! I can eat an entire jar in like a week. I put it in oatmeal, malt-o-meal hot cereal, and on toast. Haven't had it in placement of peanut butter, but I'm sure it'll be tasty.

  • Great video! Really helpful!

    Thanks :)

  • You can find fresh Italian mozzarella and pickled herring in the U.S. There's still plenty of Italian neighborhoods or stores around.

  • Comment removed

  • @MissIndianaJones83 Omg I always say Walmart is the devil too! lol too funny

  • As for the bread:

You can find it in Canada. It's called "German Rye Bread" and you can find it in almost any store. And you can find Quark in European food stores and sometimes in healthy food stores.

Oh, and you can also find the pickled herring in some markets. They have a dutch version of it in stores, and sometimes fish stores make their own.

  • This is really interesting and I'm happy to see we both buy almost the same kind of food :) I try not to buy anything too "fat"...a shame I often have lunch out and it's not so easy to eat healthy as at home :(

  • The biggest difference I noticed when I was in Switzerland in terms of food was the lack of fast food and convience food...In the US pre-prepared food is a mainstay. Also we eat sugary foods for breakfast which is not too good.

  • sorry!! switzerland :P

  • haha do you have coop in canada too? :D cool

  • Julia, I had heard on an episode of Dr. Oz, that your body doesn't differentiate between high fructose corn syrup and real sugar, and that your system processes it just the same. I was wondering what you thought?

  • Rollmops - very popular in Poland ;-) I love this !

  • what keeps you motivated?

  • do u stay with ur boyfriend? :)

  • i believe, we can get real Italian mozzarella in America.....from specialty deli's

  • you need to made more cooking videos!!!!! pleae?:)

  • ....plans, recipes too.

  • Looks good, hope to see some meal pla

  • Wow. The meat was almost 19 US dollars for that package! I could easily go without red meat there. I have a low cholesterol diet anyway, so I'd have to do low fat cheese, little butter, and low fat milk and dairy. No fried foods.

I do find it easier to eat fresher foods in Europe than the States. I find it healthier with food laws and dietary requirements in Europe. Too many preservatives in American and Canadian products.

  • @IrishLincoln only if you go to exclusively convenience stores like walmart and such. In my area we have ALOT of farmer's markets and local meat available to us, even a dairy farm. Each of these places love to have visitors and take pride in the food that they raise being wholesome. This is something that I have spent YEARS in my community making awareness of and getting people active in. Unfortunately, in the U.S.poor diet its fault of self and laziness I.M.E.

  • @MissIndianaJones83 Ha, I don't shop at Wal-Marx. I can see what you are saying about shopping at farmers markets and such, but some people don't have such resources. I do raise my own gardens and can my own foods. I do agree that most Americans make poor diet choices. I however watch everything I eat carefully, which everyone should. My cholesterol problem is genetic, not a caused by a poor choice. I've cut our red meat and stopped eating fried foods. It helps alot with niacin rich foods.

  • @IrishLincoln its funny because the Irish are complaining that in New York all the food places, including star bucks have the amount of calories next to the price...whereas in Ireland starbucks will not show their calories in store. so there are still alot of things to do in europe. also it depends where in europe you get the food. alot come from green houses in holland or from spain (due to mild climate)

  • @Lulipaz i dont think any cost of living justifies meat being sold for as less as 0.99 cents, unless its had some major reconstruction.

  • Nice Video girly, Id/we'd love you see you cook some of your receipes on video (your probably already planning that) but just saying "0) Cheers!

  • The grain bread you showed can be purchased at any Trader Joes, Whole Foods or even just your run of the mill health food store.

  • Every item in this video can be found in North America. Some of the ingredients you would need to go to a Whole Foods or Trader Joes to find it. Other ingredients, like Fresh Mozzarella (which I eat all the time) you could go to a supermarket in a predominantly Italian neighborhood (such as Bensonhurst if you live in Brooklyn, NY). The pickled herring can, interestingly enough, be found in some predominantly Jewish neighborhoods.

  • @jazmissionary Very true! And the "Quark" sounds like what we call yogurt cheese or Kefir, which can also be found at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and most middle eastern groceries.

  • i love pickled herring!!! i live in usa and i get it in the meat/fish department at my grocery store it comes in little chunks :)

  • sugar substitutes (like aspartame or sucralose) are not good for you either. probably one of the best sweeteners is stevia. (not sure on countries where it's available, though)

  • This lowcarb diet looks pretty easy actually! I buy all your groceries already, I only need to stop buying products with sugar, which I don't buy that much.

  • i'm on low carbs too, but.. sweetener is toxic don't forget that. also i've heard for low carbs diet you better drink non coffein coffee :)

  • I love this type of bread you buy. In Czech republic is everything you've bought available, but it's true that is not so far from Switzerland. And about the mozzarella cheese - this is my favorite like-mozzarella cheese (not made from buffalo milk) I love it!

  • good idea for tea instead of water. I drink little water because I don't like to drink it alone. but something flavored I can drink in liters. :)

  • mmmm, herring with sour cream. :)

  • I LOVE mozzarella with tomatoes. Try adding Italian herbs like bruschetta! It's addictive ^^

  • its like a grocery shopping haul lol

    gutes video :)

  • You can get herring in america at just about any store.

  • Thanks!! Looking forward to the meal plan! this diet looks do-able

  • like,interesting :)

  • Interesting! I'm looking forward to the "what you eat day to day" video, i think it's gonna give more specific ideas!

Are you doing this with your boyfriend? Because it's SO hard to do this on your own, believe me, i made the decision to stop eating crap and try to eat healthier stuff.......if your boyfriend is having pasta with steak next to you, BELIEVE ME, it makes you wanna throw that stupid salad out the window! hahaha!!

  • @1LeiaPrincess yeah we're doing it together.

  • @1LeiaPrincess Hahaha I know about that :) My boyfriend is a total canirvore , and I'm trying to be vegan x)

  • @EmaaDarling Hahaha! Good luck on that girl!

  • I loved your video, especially seeing what is available where you live. I never have seen eggs sold in 10 rather than a dozen eggs. Pickled harring oh yes, it is here and my uncles and aunts love it. Not me sorry to say I have a difficult time with fish. It was interesting and thank you for sharing.

  • migros und coop. eifach z'beste <3

  • we call Rollmops "Solomon Gundy" in NS Canada! It's one of my favourites!! Sometimes I eat it on crackers with sour cream... not so healthy though!

  • Yep you can get pickled herring here in the US. It's delicious!
