  • Thank you so much!!!! you are really a professional.

  • this is nice.....good job..

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. It is 12:00 am and the water heater just blew, and I am a woman and don't want to pay someone big money after I pay big money for the water heater. Also, it gave me good insight as to what to take care of before I go to bed - gas off, etc. Thanks Felton

  • It's time to get paid!!!.....Good job bro!

  • Someone buy this guy a beer! Very helpful.

  • Best part of your video was the little tips and tricks. Thanks for the upload.

  • A great help. Thank you. You covered many if not all very important points and you explain very well. I am fixing on replacing a water heater that is date stamped 4/79.

  • Great vid! For all those ppl that complained, they are just sorry they didn't make it...It helped me to understand while READING THE MANUAL...thanks again.

  • If you close your eyes and just listen to certain points, you can actually hear Bill Murray shinning through. Nice job on the information, I'm just about to replace mine and wanted to see how tough it is. The good thing, it doesn't seem all that bad. Thanks for the vid.

  • omg, if there is gas involved please call a professional!!! not this guy!!!

  • @condensereleven11 Youre an idiot.

  • @condensereleven11 he is a professional !! he is doing it just fine...can you ?????

  • Poor quality audio so you can barely understand. Bad video as well, but very informative.

  • Thank you for this posting.

  • Hey Felton209, Good Job. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Don't worry about all the bad comments from most of these D-Bags

  • Thank you for doing this vid. It was both helpful and educational.

  • Great video. I was confidentI could replace my water heater and I did. Thanks I saved some money.

  • Good Video, very informative!!!

  • Great video. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.

  • almost everthing about this video is wrong sorry but that sh1t would not pass a plumbing inspection, and when u remove and replace a water heater u are always supposed to bring it up to current code no matter what , and yea replacing a water heater isnt hard work but can be very dangerous if not don properly like in this video

  • Nothing about this was done wrong. Did you actually watch the video? I was changing the stand, not the water heater. The water heater was changed by Sears two weeks before I got there to change the stand. The client decides what he wants to fix. In this case it was the stand. 7500 views cant be all that bad.

  • @Felton209 dont sweat it man. there will always be haters, and trolls. i found this to be useful. I am trying to replace my moms water heater for the first time...i will have help, but I would rather learn how to do it than pay someone else to do it. I want to be that handy type of husband, rather than the one that sits and cant do anything.

  • @khalilasbro good word, thanks for your feed back. good luck with your project.

  • @Felton209 I dont know where you guys are from but in NY Code requires a drip leg to prevent any foreign particles like cutting oil, metal filings, etc. from entering the gas valve. It should be installed upstream of the valve, I know your not replacing it but if i was doing the job/taking it out and replacing the stand I wouldn't toutch it b/c its not to code, thats your license and buisness and when something happens there going to say,"well who was the last person to touch it" good luck

  • @plumber8484 code? written to make money for you!

  • The video is titled "Raplacing Gas Water Heater" but he did all of the hard work off camera. Any idiot can figure out how to light the pilot using the instructions provided. I wanted to see how he sweated the pipes back on, etc. and connected all the fittings. So for me, it was worthless. Oh well.

  • None of the work was completed off camera. What would be the point of that? You dont need to sweat pipes to replace a water heater. Its done with mechanical connections. FYI, their is no hard work involed in replacing the water heater.

  • I think that code in my area requires that the pressure relief valve be soldered on. Mine is soldered on.

  • Thoughtful video. Enjoyed all the detail and hands on follow through.

  • Nice video ,Thank you.

  • This installation does not meet code requirements doe to the fact that the discharge pipe for the T&P valve is higher than the T&P valve. The discharge pipe must always slope down from the safety valve to keep water from sitting up against the valve spring and seat.

  • Watch the entire video. I didnt replace the water heater. I removed it and placed it back exactly as it was installed. I replaced the stand that was under it that was rotten. Sears replaced the water heater and never replaced the rotten stand. Yes, you are correct that the TP valve should should be higher and since we are going over it, its against code to use a flexible line on the relief side in the city where I live due to the fact that it can be kinked and rendered useless.
