  • Biffy played at sonisphere recently which is usually a metal-oriented festival. And so to please the crowd they played the intro of Slayer's Raining Blood before blasting into this song. Epic xD

    5. only revolutions.

  • @thomaskitchman wrong way around

  • @Ashwykes denied

  • Mon the Biff!

  • I was screaming along at the start of this when we seen them live :L

  • This song is the kind of very most extreme example of old Biffy, as well. It's not all like this.

  • So grunge :)

  • this song songs punk influenced, pretty sweet :)

  • CRAP biffy's new stuff is RIDICULOUSLY better =O

  • @LanceJ1992 their new stuff is just more conventional

  • @LanceJ1992 Listen to Puzzle, then VoB, then Blackened Sky, then the other songs on Infinity Land, and come back to this.

    THEN you'll appreciate it.

  • @LanceJ1992 Clearly only heard about them since only revolutions. There old stuff is much better.

  • I never thought i'd like this song but.....I LOVE IT!!!! MON THE BIFF!!!<3

  • the trademark song for all the old fans

  • New biffy is fucking amazing

  • Old or new Biffy Clyro are still the best band in the world. and deserve to be more recognised. Matt Cardle has nothing on these 3 men.

  • @heinzie5 very well said.

  • @heinzie5 LOL

  • @heinzie5 roffle copter!

  • Those screams are mental and the time signatures are awesome. Such a raw and awesome track.

  • Shit dude. I didn't expect this from Biffy :L Perhaps they won't go that badly at Sonisphere after all...

  • @dosrockerthebest ye there old stuff is much more heavier and raw to their new stuff. basically their old stuff is the SHIT and their new stuff is a heap of balls.

  • @dockeyboy

Yer the sort of ''fan'' that does my head in & can't be happy that a band is getting popular & progressing with their music, go fuck off & listen to Oasis or ACDC if you want a band that puts out the same album after album for 10+years but don't expect other die-hard fans to agree with yer narrow minded view that a band should conform to the expectations of an indie-fan base & always stay under the radar with their talent.

  • @tvrulesnation get yourself to fuck mate. I dont mind a band getting popular if the band are being true to themselves. Songs like mountains and the captain just arent the real biffy im afraid. There over produced songs created by their record label to make as much money as possible. How can you say these songs are better than the likes of toys, toys, toys liberate the illiterate and glitter and trauma. No way mate.

  • @tvrulesnation Biffy have in no way progressed with their music. They have taken a huge step back and gone mainstream(anyone who disagrees with this please explain then why the x factor have used one of there singles aswell as other popstars, i even heard glee are now going to do a biffy song). And you cant say the whole same album argument because Blackened Sky, Vertigo Of Bliss and Infinity Land were all different to eachother. Truth is, the bigger record label changed them in a bad way.

  • @CirtLok

Mainstream is nothing more than being a well known band in general charts, its too often associated with selling the bands ''musical integrity'' like they in some way owe it to fans to do what the fans want & not try experimenting.

2 potential reasons why X-factor used their song

    1) the record company will have a huge say in it, if not by copyright ''own'' the song under their label & do what they so please with it by contract

    2) Biffy used it to get heard by others a smart move

  • @CirtLok

2 cont.) the same shite i hear off Muse fans & them using twilight as a way to push their product (ie their music) to America. I hate x-factor as much if not more than the average music fan, completely despise it. However i think it'd be completelty stupid as a business-move to not utilise such an offer. As you can see MANY people have now heard of Biffy from it & all agree their version of MOH is much better.

  • @CirtLok

I was not going to use that their albums are the same, it'd be ridiculous to claim such. But fans fail to understand how hard it is as a musician to make a career off of it & in many cases express their music which they love to do, to as many people as they can.

Instead you have essentially whiney bitches who complain when the band gets popular or decides to change sound for a new album

BTW Glee also uses many great-great songs, it in no way means i hate Sting/George Clinton etc for it

  • @tvrulesnation Fuck off. "like they in some way owe it to fans to do what the fans want & not try experimenting." Biffy did use to experiment. Thus why they were so good in the first place. Now they dont, ever since they signed up to that damn new record label, it seems there product has become much more radio friendly, following a much more simplistic basic style. And i could not care less about the whole Many Of Horror thing because the song is shite compared to older stuff.

  • @CirtLok

Your arguement is based around nothing but your own opinion of the bands progression, we can agree there is a drastic change in sound between their earlier & newer stuff right? well then what makes the new stuff any less experimental? the likes of ''get f*cked stud/Everything dies/Golden Rule/Cloud of Stink'' is all similar in its approach & sound to their older material. Whilst the other songs are different

  • @CirtLok

Again you fail to put yourself in the bands position, very few bands like to stick to one formula especially 5 albums into their career. Biffy could well probably feel there is only so much they could do without re-hashing out similar material based around their harder sounding songs & so are expanding & testin new genres or that they want to expand their fan-base whilst retain their roots

To a fan this is seen as ''selling out'', to any musician its seen as wise when done productively

  • @tvrulesnation The original style never did stick to one formula. Im pretty sure if Biffy wanted to, they could have made the 4th and 5th album alot better than they did.

"to any musician" you are implying that all musicians think it's a great idea to sell out and do it just for the money. Which is total bullshit.

But yeah, maybe we should all just put ourselves in a band shoes, no matter how shit the product becomes or how much they change, its all good because they are making money!

  • @CirtLok

You clearly mistake experimenting & testing new waters with ''selling out for the money''. If you want a band to stick to a similar sound for its whole career then go listen to ACDC/Oasis, but don't complain when other fans give out to you.

Again yes you need to put yourself in there shoes, have you ever been in a band & tried at it to make it your career? maybe then without sounding offensive you'd take yer head out of yer arse & cop on that its not easy work

  • @tvrulesnation "If you want a band to stick to a similar sound for its whole career then go listen to ACDC/Oasis"

This in no way applies to Biffy as the first 3 albums were all different from each other so dont try give me that bullshit argument because its bullshit. Biffys new stuff is not experimenting it's making songs that are designed to be singles(this applies less to Puzzle and more to OR). Im very happy with what they did that i liked, i just wish they would do more of it.

  • @CirtLok

Seriously i'm getting sick of saying that i agree with you on that point that their first 3 albums were all different, if you read what i said though you'd see i agree & proposed a hypothesis for why the band probably went astray from hard-rock riffs (ie it is limited as a single style to stick to).

Again to repeat myself, i named tracks that are similar to their old styles. Regardless if they are singles or not it is similar to their old style.

Bring something new to this arguement

  • @tvrulesnation The first 3 albums were different lol

  • @CirtLok

If their product is THAT bad just be happy for what they did that you liked & move on rather than bitching about how they ''sold out/old biffy are the shit'' etc.

Never did i say a band should totally swing to a polar opposite & that its ''all good''. I clearly showed songs that are similar to their old style on their new albums with newer styled songs, ie progression. All you have done is given your negative opinion which frankly seems like the typical indie view of a now popular band

  • @tvrulesnation If Biffy were to trully experiment, we would have never ended up with Puzzle and especially not Only Revolutions.

  • Mon the Biff! :)

  • There new album is a commercial mess. They should get back to their roots and true fans the sell out cunts.

  • @b4con94 Oh shut the fuck up. Read the interview in Kerrang before you go all hipster-wank on Biffy.

  • I have this on repeat to try and make the whole X-factor thing seem better. They can never take this away!!!!! MON THE BIFF!!!!!

  • @robwiseman Definatly man, might have to join you there! People are saying that real Biffy songs are songs like 'whorses' off their new album but that's absoloutly shit compared to this. MON THE BIFF!

  • Imagine Matt doing this one

  • @stepheneamonn Just lol. Stupid how they changed it to ''When We Collide''. It's Many of Horror, but then x Factor can pass anything off as a different name.

  • @blugal102 well they call "shit" "music", and if they can pass it off as that, they can do anything. but us fans will never be happy about it.

  • I love the music in this song, the guitar is BRILLIANT! & strangely like the start :L LOL LOVE BIFFY.!

  • Puzzle is Biffy's best album methinks...

  • @LanceJ1992 this, but this is a great tune

  • Saw them at Wembely lst night, fucking madness happened to this song it was increadable. Simon Neil = god

  • Seen them last night in Glasgow LB Song was a constant Mosh man my back is cut to fuck...hope it scars man a scar at a biffy gig is just a ledgendary status!

  • favourite biffy albums in order..

    1.Blackened Sky

    1. Vertigo Of Bliss

    1. Infinity Land

    1. Puzzle

    1. Only Revolutions

  • @TheZicoDanny yea, i was there too, so chuffed they played loads of their older stuff - fuckin' epic sauce!

  • yeaya!

  • Duggie... im with you on this one mate... Jaggy Snake is amazing. Seen the Biffy at T in the Park 2010... highlight of the weekend mate.....

  • 1:40 to 2:05

    it's catchy imho

  • infinity land is my favourite album

  • Personally, I love quite literally ALL biffy songs, even their new stuff. You should all be greatful for this band. They are amazing.

  • @AnonMusicable i agree :)

  • Well, your all fucking idiots.. you may like there old stuff better, that doesnt mean it is. a band has to evolve to have a long career, if you just stay the same you'll end up getting 1. boring and 2. dropped from your label.. but your just all too fucking thick to understand that, thanks x

  • i don't enjoy their new stuff either, i really hope they come back to make a freakin awesome album.

  • im sorry, and i know im going to recieve alot of negative comments here...but their new stuff is a whole lot better musically to their older stuff...just because more people like them now is no reason not to realise that their newer songs far supercede stuff like this. Now im in for it lol......

  • @healylegend07 haha We all knew they were going to sell out adventually and i'm sure many hardcore biffy fans would have done the same if they were in the shoes of the band. but there old stuff is better :D (and i'm a recent convert, puzzle!)

  • @healylegend07 Technical song writing voids your argument.

  • oldstuff is so much better than the new stuff.. same with incubus, lost prophets, metallica... the list goes on

  • @jkeydj i completely agree on all of those things apart from incubus, who i think are constantly evolving as a band. But man, old biffy is a billion times better, back when they were pushing boundaries, now they have sold out and are making easy listening indie rubbish. But, i suppose you cant blame them for wanting to make more money.

  • @08mlascelles

Sold out? Cop on.. It's half and half at least. I wouldn't call That Golden Rule or Cloud of Stink easy listening! Also, I don't think they'll continue on the direction they're on now. I read in an interview that they don't want to become mainstream and always thought of themselves as an underground band, and the next album is going to emphasise this.

  • @JamesCmuse dude, i hope you're right. And it's true, That Golden Rule was a sick song, but stuff like Many of Horror to me is just bland, radio friendly stuff. I just dont see why bands who want to make more accessible music can't refine the sound they have, rather than change it completely.

  • @08mlascelles

I like Many Of Horror, and I like how bands change their sound, it shows versatility and a softer side. Take Foo Fighters for example. Just because they have songs like The Pretender and Monkey Wrench, doesn't mean they're not allowed have songs like, for example; Home and walking after you. Many bands have a good strong sound and a soft side. And Biffy have always had that, anyway, Just listen to The Atrocity and Diary Of Always. A little experimentation can be a good thing, too!

  • Fucking lethal (L)

  • my fave Biffy tune :DDD Simon ur a god x MON THE BIFFY!

this was one of their best songs ;D

  • i love it when rolo tomassi does the screaming for it

  • @imtonyd seen rolo live at bristol colston hall, they were supporting biffy. they were pretty fucking awesome, Eva (lead singer) is awesome!... and i love there mix with biffy on this tune

  • @mjt1990 OI mate! I went to that Colston Hall show as well and I thought Rolo were pretty shit to be honest! Just a hell of a lot of screaming. This track is epic though because of the sexy guitar playing :]

  • @TheFatSexyHobo I saw Rolo when they supported Biffy at Perth (had a golden ticket - thought I' just drop it in there ;))

    They were balls!

sorry no my cup o tea either ;)

  • Horrible noise? Give me a break! That's biffy on form. They should produce more songs like this than that captain nonsense.

  • @Mockingbird180 You don't know how much I love you right now. The Captain and most of Only Revolutions is pretty piss.

Apparently it's meant to be more uplifting than Puzzle was? I'm not exactly sure how Biffy loosing their ability to write intelligent songs and good riffs is meant to be uplifting.

  • @korrayls fuck you faggot

  • @korrayls Hahahhaha whatever mate. Not our fault you're too much of a pussy to listen to or understand it.

  • why cant biffy get bk to this style of music , is it just me that thinks they have sold out to make pop tunes !!

  • @catchthepigeons he probably cant scream like this anymore

  • @thomascompton800 trust me yes he cang ve and its amazin ive heard this song twice live and its amazing

  • TAKE EXTRA SPECIAL CARE!!!

  • Hi i'm Abandon Ship.

  • @TopBananas1 Infinity Land was first

  • I know! That's what I was trying to point out, didn't make it clear enough though

  • this song feels about 8 minutes long, yet it's only 4:51... too epic for words. 'MOAN THE BIFFY

  • that's not a good thing.. xD

  • @greeborhys

Bot trying to be funny but to me when a song feels longer than it is thats usually cos am not gettin into but if a song 5 minutes long feels like its over in 2 thats because its good and that i'm really into it.

  • simply the best song!
