Tori Amos, like Stevie, and MANY OTHER ARTISTS, talk parts of their songs sometimes to bring out specific points and add variety to doing the same songs over and over. I LIKE that the songs aren't exactly the same every time I hear them, it's part of what makes a CONCERT better than a CD. Have you not seen the earlier Mac videso and concerts? Thanks so much for posting this! I drove 3 hours to see this show. We were so blown away on how great they were, we couldn't drive home the next day knowing there were tickets still available for the Friday show. Yep, we booked the room one more night, and went down and saw them again. Worth every penny! I got choked up both nights during this song. Those of us who get it know what a treat this was. So beautiful.. the song and the women that wrote it.
