Yay, Soul Blazer sound effects..so apparently Hamlet the pig can get past *all* of those enemies *and* get out of the prison long before Will can..there's probably a secret passage of some sort; too bad it's too small for Will.

Now, usually in games like this, whenever the hero gets thrown in jail, they never strip his equipment..here, all Will has are his clothes and the flute, which they didn't view as threatening enough to take away..but he can use it to beat the crap out of bats anyway.

Anyway, so as for the way of raising stats, does this means that just like Red Jewels, is it possible to not max them if you missed any jewel?

IIRC, there's a stat boost that you can get in a town later in the game, but if you've maxed it out to that point, then the game won't let you take it.

There's also one area where you can't kill all the enemies, but that's plot-related.

Other than that, you would be correct. Fortunately, the game makes it very easy to make sure that you've killed all the enemies. Even invisible enemies are easy to find, thanks to the map.
