  • Sure will do! Can you give me more detail? Fees? Location? Hour?

  • Look up Fishing with Nick, October 29th 2011 the video has all the info...

  • Just met you earlier this After noon today, an thank for the swim worm, gave it a try and couldnt catch any bass even thoe that spot I was at i seen big bass jumping and leaping head chasing small fishes, Im still a rookie to bass fishing and want to learn more how to lure fishing! =D

This is my GF Account Btw.

    Thanks again!

  • The shad spawn in that cove. Purchase some white flukes and Texas rig them and twitch them through the pockets in the grass. Keep in touch and come out to the fishing with Nick event on the 29th...

  • Not sure if you meant to say California rig but I did not discuss it in my video lol... The Texas rig is a common way to put a plastic worm onto a hook in a weedless fashion allowing you to toss it into bushes and tall grass without getting it snagged

  • whats the different purposes between the california rig and texas rig. how do they change you fishing? i think thats what im askin.lol

  • im new to fishing and i cant figure out why should i use rigs. what purpose do they serve?

  • Instead of using bait a lot of anglers prefer to use lures. Each lure serves a different purpose depending on what the fish are eating and where they are located in the water at the time. For example if the fish are feeding off of the surface a top water lure would be a good choice since they float & can be much easier to use than real floating bait and cast further. Example 2 if the sun is high over head most fish go deep so dragging a plastic worm on the bottom can be a great choice!

  • This comment goes for part 1 and part 2. These rigs and lures don't really weigh much, are you suppose to add weights to it for a far cast?

  • For soft plastic worms yes you can, unless you use a spinning reel then you can cast them weightless just fine. For the hard baits you should be able to cast them just fine.

  • Isnt 60- to 80 pound test a little much!?? lol... i catch nice 17 inch 7 pound small mouth and large mouth with 10 or 8....!

  • hay im going bass fishing to lake with lots of vegetation its has lots of lily pads the fish that live there perch crappie bluegill trout catfish carp the wether is going to be kinda cloudy that day what kind of lure shod i use? thanks

  • Top water frogs are a blast in thick vegetation! I would pick up any spro frog like a chug mouth and pointed nose & some 50lb braided line. Light bottoms for light skies and dark for shade & overcast.. Make sure to join the website & check out the foundation its a win win for everyone!

  • Nice video

  • thanks this vid hlp

  • yet again another great video

  • I am not an expert on Pike fishing although I have researched them a bit and for the most part do do fish similar to bass. I think reaction baits would be your best bet like jerk baits and spinnerbaits..

  • ya dude i think 60lb is a little over kill on bass fishing i fish the susquehanna where theres 4-5 feet catfish from time to time. hell i use 6lb to catch largemouth and small mouth. hell even if im fishing for musky ill only bump up to 8 with a steel leader. good lures but hell thats just plain not needed

  • isnt that a spro?? not a scum frog

  • It's a River2Sea Bully

  • i use 8 pound test, why 60 pound for bass?

  • @flipsk8ter1080 He meant for using those topwater frog lures. Because the fish hit them so hard the extra weight helps, also because they'll get dragged through heavy weeds

  • i live in stockton and fish at a little pond at weston ranch and i always use a spinnerbait there i wonder what is the most effective bass lure out there that will help me can u help me ?

  • What pond? I also live here. Call up the help line I will take you out and teach you a few things.

  • @InformativeFisherman it's that place wer u fish for intermediate bass fishing something like that

  • whats flipping and pitching mean? and all the other terms i cant rmember lol lz help thank you

  • Pitching is a under hand cast basically resulting in a silent accurate entry. Flipping is similar with one hand controlling a pendulum of underhand motion by pulling the line out to the side while lifting the rod tip for up close extreme accuracy. Hard to explain it's on my list for videos to make, so make sure to subscribe.

    Best of fishing!

  • I'm pretty new at all of this so I'm not firmiliar with all the terminology...can someone explain what he means by flipping?

  • do you ever shaky head fish? they work realy great on finesse style worms

  • All the time! Good gravel bed chose.

  • What is your favorite color for a senko?

    Or colors?

  • How would you fish a 3" senko?

  • 2/0 Wide gap hook rigged texas style or size 1 mosquito hook nose hooked with no weight or wacky rigged with a size 1/0 mosquito

  • Thanks

  • How do u fish a brush hog?

  • Texas rigged, Flip and pitch it or drag it slowly across the bottom...

  • wow why is everyone making such a big deal about the 60 pound test A. your supposed to use very high test when frog fishing. B. watch any pro talk about frog fishing they'll talk about using 60-80 braid. C. its his choice he can use whatever he wants

  • Lol, It's OK they just don't understand the science. If you used 10lb on the CA, Delta casting frogs on grass flats you would be donating lures and damaging the fishery and the fish. Marlin do not drag you into sharp rocks and trees, they are a blue water fish, 100% different science. I would never tell someone the way they are fishing is wrong. I would just suggest the more preferable methods according to science and professional anglers.

  • the bass where I fish are small mouth, hav'nt figured em out yet, on a river

  • Pumpkin tubes on half once jig heads, 8lb fluorocarbon line 7' med/fast action rod,,, make the cast and shake shake shake! (side tip dirty water is kryptonite to small mouth)

    Best of fishin!

  • @InformativeFisherman Sweet!! I'll try it, thanks!!!

  • I found a tube squid thing just laying on the ground at my local resivior and I can't wait to try it out only problem is it is winter and the lake closest to me is frozen!

  • Drill drill drill lol...

  • Nice, M.I.A.

  • where did you get the rainbow trout bait

  • i actully use Texas rig for a lizard with no wieght.........

  • 60lb braid? That seems so heavy line, why so strong? I use 10lb braid usually and a 20lb flouro leader for my frogs!

  • people use leaches all the time. and it works

  • Nick, just wanted to say that I've seen a ton of videos on fishing and you do a great job of presenting the information in a clear and precise manner. Keep the videos coming!

  • Thanks for the feed back it's always appreciated.

  • i cot a 17 1/2 in california

  • 60lb test WTF .. what you tryin to catch a sea monster? lol

  • I fish for european sea bass. And altho a fair few of the lures you had shown here would probably never get used, there were a few like the senko's etc that definitely will do. It was good to listen to a no BS assessment of what the is, does and how its used etc. So much better than an over acting salesperson, doing their best to get you to spend your money on their product.

Once again, thanks for your honest opinions and well presented work.

  • I'd like to watch the part 1, I guess it is more about the fish shape soft plastic, right?

  • i love heavy braid. i use 35lb Stren sinking braid. it has the thickness of 10lb mono and holds up on any bass i hook into. even musky. i cant stand flouro, its just too sensitive. even casting a plastic worm with a small splitshot will snap the line.

but anyways great video! very helpful.

  • i fish lizard, weedless across weeds and i just got my biggest largie of 20" 3.5lb. fucking annialated it. PIKE love 'em too. i cant find the same model that i bought tho :/

  • Nice, simple to the point. How ever you said glitter on dark days or dark water and no glitter on clear water or sunny days. You did't say days i guess, but water. Doug Hannon disagrees with that. He likes glitter in sunny clear water and plain on darker days and stained to dirty water. Again, nice simple to the point video. Great for the beginner for sure.

  • 2:25 is called rooster tails .

  • Thanks Dude!

  • omg that rainbow trout lure is huge

  • the hog dragged topwater has produced many many bass for me. it has a very subtle wiggle/glide that is a lot less startling than a popper or other topwater.

  • ok heres a summary of all that put on a bobber then about a foot and a half down put on a meduim size hook and dig up a worm and just put it right on there bam you got a bass thats the easiest way to get a bass for a begginer

  • us the trick worm on a shakyhead

  • the stung frog, dose it already come rigged?or u have to rig it?

  • the reason i keep watching ypur vids is because it helps the above beginner fisherman and i like that evan has stuff i didnt know sometimes

  • thats a sub

  • on the senko whould you put a bullet weight on it? thanks

  • i fish in a small pond with one maybe 2 pound bass i usally texas rig a swim work and for the crappie and carlina rig a a real worm wih a bobber but iv been wanting to try diffrent stuff like real small crank baits do you have and sugestions

  • the lizards work well for me

  • @nolangreen now this guy is retarded i use 50 braid

  • am a real good soft lure is a bango lure it lookes like a die or cripeld minno and bass love them and pike eny thing that eats minnos love them. but i have not seen them in stores i order them on a tv cermerchal

  • I'm going bass fishing for the first time next week, and i would like to see what is a good beginner bait for me. Any suggestions?

  • Wacky rigged zoom trick worm 10lb fluorocarbon line on spinning tackle... cast it out & let it sink with a small twitch now & then...

  • Dude is not showing the lizards much love lol ... ive caught some of my biggest bass on a texas rigged lizard

  • i see you have some of those lil storm bream swimbaits those are very nice

  • I keep hearing senko senko yamamamamamoto senko i cant find them anywhere where are they ?

  • love this vid

  • good vid

  • 60 pound line. what the fuck are u fishing for marlin. i've catgh 10 pound peacock bass with 6 pound line

  • wow that's sad, i've caught monster bass on only ten pound test. you could catch a freaking marlin on 60 lb braid. rediculous

  • Are you telling me 99% of bass pro's have it wrong?

  • @InformativeFisherman

    are you serious? 60 lbs?

  • @InformativeFisherman I don't think they have it "wrong" ..However to fish that heavy of a line is nearly pointless..If you pay attention and aren't wreckless you wont have much issue with even 10lb line..Running braid in lilly pad's is about all it makes sense for

  • @InformativeFisherman he's actually correct

  • @InformativeFisherman I'm thinking it's personal preference?

  • @InformativeFisherman No i'm simply saying that 60lb braid is overkill. It takes all the fun out of it. No challenge. I like your videos. The first one is blocked now with copyright -.-

  • @nolangreen its for jigging in heavy cover

  • @shootinshotguns dude...are you fishing in the rain forest? I just think it takes the challenge out of it, I've never had a problem with cover, you just have to tie knots good. I use ten pound mono

  • I caught a 20 pound cat on 8 pound line...all u have to do is set ur drag right and get it tired. Its more fun that way

  • this was a help full vid

  • Awsome video. what kind of plastic bait works best in pounds? what hook to use ? I never used plastic before so thats why i'm asking.

  • Call me up on the help line...

  • @KaWaLkEr23 NEVER use plastic bait, ive tried in a pond and for hours i got nothing. ur better off using live frogs or worms.

  • your videos are excellent

  • Thx man..

  • dude i went bass fishing last week and i was reeling in my lure, because i was going to swap them out, when i got it close to the bank i sware a 8 pound bass was on it and i didnt even know i had a bite, but right when i was about to pull it up it fell off the hook :(

  • 60 pound test? holy hell.

  • i use swim worms and catch 10 13 pound bass

  • lol i like the rap at the end... who is that by? lol

  • what is a jig?

  • What does flipping mean?

  • It's a method of casting close. Allowing the angler complete control over accuracy. Look up my bait casting target practice video I am doing it in the end of the video...

  • have you heard of Huddleston Deluxe? They've got some of the best crawdad imitation baits..looks exactly like a craw...might wanna check it out, great video (thumbs up)

  • prolly caught 3000 bass on a lizard haha

  • For some reason, i feel like i catch 70 percent of my bass on lizards which are mostly Zoom Magnum lizards and regular 6 inch versions in natural colors. Its safe to say i have not been counting every fish i caught but i would be willing to bet a couple thousand.

  • i only use 10 through 17 pound test

  • hey nice video, would you join our forum?

  • Just use 15 lb test line or 20 even you will be fine!

  • check my tackle box vids :D

  • 60lb? Dang, I wish we had bass like that here in IL

  • @ZiggyMilquetoast ppl use 60lb to catch 5-10lb bass, its just that braid is super thin and u can get away with heavy weight, plus theres usually alot of weeds that come with a bass in heavy cover.

  • can you fish bass from the shore or only like cat or trout......cuz theres a lake thats a bass habitat so i wanna know if u can fish em' from da shore......please reply...nice advice 5 stars

  • @xkillerofthefuture yes u can, bass are rarly found out in the middle of a lake/pond try to cast to isolated cover with a jig or soft plastic.:D

  • best winter lure is power bait camo or strike king bubble gum soft plastics for my ponds at least lizards rock for spring

  • 60lb is nothing my buddy uses 80lb braid

  • 60 pound test!?! what are you fishing for marlin? i catch 8 pound bass on 10 pound test... you never need to go over 20 pound test bass fishing... i guess you dont fight the fish you just reel them in, well me i like to fish for fun not to reel bass in like a lure

  • Power Pro should make that shirt I reel bass in like a lures! Try 20lb line fishing frogs on mat in the CA delta then you will understand..

    Best of Fishing

  • i caught a 12 pound bass on a 12 pound test lol

  • Nice! Picture?

  • i didn't have my camera that day and the bass was so heavy on the line a piece of it snaped off.

  • @er9er9

I haven't caught a bass that big PERIOD.

  • @cleemeyer1 There are a lot of reasons why you should use heavier line. Flipping jigs into heavier cover for one. I'll use 60lb braid so I can get my jig out if it gets hung up and I'll be able to muscle big fish out of trees with out having to re tie my line after every fish. Braid might be a bit more expensive in the short run, but it lasts longer than mono and it will save you a ton on lost lures.

  • Your rite you dont ever wanna go over 20lb test with a mono line, but braid line has such a smaller line dia then a mono you'd be stupid not have the extra back bone you need to pull bass outa the think weeds n cover and with almost no stretch u get some insane hook sets from long distance. 50-60lb braid OWNS

  • @cleemeyer1 shut up and fish! let people use what they want. go try red ants... it will catch ya a big one!!

  • @cleemeyer1 maybe you didnt hear he was using braid, because that doesnt stretch like other lines so it requires a higher poundage

  • @cleemeyer1 Its braid, the fish are swimming through the slop and believe me, ur line can break, i use 40lb braid for frogs, 65 works perfectly as well.

  • but what if ur smallest one is already a monster lol

  • Then you should be busy break dancing.. lol

  • if only i could break dance lol

  • an incects I ccan use to catch bass? I know slugs don't work...

  • Crickets and grasshoppers work great..

  • Does anyone know the best winter lure

  • quarter ounce black & blue jig or 4" pumpkin robo worm on a drop shot rig....

  • Lipless crank...something with a tight wobble and that can get close to the bottom

  • whats the best thing to use in a small pond for bass blue gill thing like that for spring .... please write back

  • Its quite spendy but the tru-tungsten tru-life swim bait works wonders.... I have the 4" bluegill version....fifteen bucks though

  • i use ringworms they look like your swim worm or whatever...are ringworms good and well thats it LOL

  • okay i own a chatterbait and i was wondering what the best conditions are to use it and what terrain to use it in like heavy cover, open water, dark or clear i just dont know

  • hey im a big fan of fishing and i love watching ure videos and i got a question for u do the small do the mini tubes work good for bass or r they to small?

  • im gunna get that beaver for my cristmas present... will it catch fish in winter??????

  • Yep move them slow near rock piles in sunny areas,,, Texas rigged...

  • k thx a bunch

  • This guy is very helpful.

  • Thx!

  • i have 8 pound berekely maxx line is that gonna not work for my spro from if i cast to lilly pads

  • I would use 12 pound test 8 is a little light...

    Best of fishing!

  • what about crawdads do those work in murky water

  • Add a rattle & yes they work great!

  • That bluegil swimbait you have, Is that a STORM brand, and how well does it work, Much obliged if you comment Back :)

  • It's so so,,, good lure for channel cat they hammer it

  • gotta love the jig check out some good jig fishing how to videos on my profile

  • what not do u use on your worms and lizs

  • awesome thank you.

  • Your welcome... Best of Fishing!

  • do you have a rebel pop r

  • is it really necessary to use 60 lb line for frog lures?

  • 40lb braid is as low as I will go...

  • Ok thanks

  • im new to the fishing and i just got z too strike king and it has a hole down the middle how would u rigg it could u do a video

  • does that bluegill swimbait produce for you?

  • Now and then if im trying to thin out the small bass,, Channel cats take them now and then as well...

  • i use 4lb test on a penrod extreme almost no matter what im fishing for i just fight it out lol

  • i dont know if i just wasnt payin that much attention or not but i noticed u didnt seem to go over the finese bait .. like for example i just piucked up a luncker city slug-o and was wondering if u got n e tips and when and where is beest for them?

  • I don't fish the SlugO's on my finese gear i bait cast them & work them like a jerk bait & mostly for Stripers not large mouth.. I nose hook them in pairs works great!

  • i use them on my baitcaster as well( i only have a lil cheap shakespear one that i was given by a freind) adn i rig them the way that back of the package and use them for bas.. is that not what there ment for i have seen some bass fisherman use them so i was just wondering

  • Did you ever get a bass with the monster minnow ?

  • dude u will never catch a 60 pound bass in ur life.... ever

  • Huh?

  • i dont get the fliping jig. what do u mean by fliping

  • Take a look at my video bait casting target practice

  • I have noticed that bass like to follow snapping turtles around, why is that?

  • They eat the same things turtles do a lot of the leg work for me,, but if the turtles are sun bathing that rule does not apply.. in water good bass fishing,, Out bad lol

    Best of Fishing!

  • No, sorry, I was too excited to even think about pics. And we ate them right after brought them home. Oh by the way do you have a video on how to fillet? I think I could have gotten more off of them but wasn't sure how. Thanks again.

  • I tried that two steps into the water today, and walked away with four nice sized bass. Thanks alot man!

  • Awesome! Pics?

  • hey. i have always used colorless or ivisible mono or flurocarbon line . i just recently bought a hi vis gold, stren line . will i catch less fish due to the line visibility or is it just a myth? thanks..

  • were i go fishing thier are patches of seaweed and its about 7ft deep. what do u recremened for me

  • Weedless jigs pitch & flip,, Lipless crank baits to rip the top of the grass & spinner baits for the lanes in between!

  • the swim baits you showed arent going to get alot of bass but will get big bass /fish because it looks like live bait so they wont eat it out of agression or reaction they will bite it if there hungry. big bass are often hungry

  • Hi. First of all I'd like to thank you for the posts. I'm sure they took a long time to make and put on. I am a new fisherman just starting out so I fish off shore. Any tips fishing from the bank in a lake? Thanks again for the posts.
