The Smurfs has a lot more history behind it and is an ORIGINAL concept created by a great cartoonist, not a distaff idea based on a old TV show meant to sell toys. There are MILLIONS of Smurfs fans and a lot of people who remember the Smurfs....NOBODY remembers or cares that much about the Bionic Six, or there would have been a comic book revival a while back or toys (and no, a Deviant Art page isn't enough.)
@Neville6000 Atomic powered? I don't think so. IIRC they needed to recharge their bionics regularly and being low on power in a dangerous situation tended to be a plot point. Maybe the recharger device was atomic powered but not the bionics themselves.
The intro and the transformation are the best parts. So anime..! I loved these cartoons.. I grew up watching Jap cartoons so I know just by looking at the animation on these cartoons that the animators were ANIME

Except Bionic 6 wasn't an Anime. It was an American show that, like most cartoons from the 80s, was subcontracted to a Korean and Japanese animation studio. The writing, character designs and series bible were all American though.

Hey spongebob is ok. Its not really fair to compare them anyway, they arent even the same genre. Now, if you were to compare it to the new turtles or yigioh or BS like that, then ya.
This is what animation should be. The art was consistant as was the designs. They actually look like people, not the overly angular and square animations they are doing today. Hand draw animation is losing out to CG, which is a shame. We can use both, but hand drawn will always have the great quality and texture that will always be lost with GC.
@KnightStyleJKT: Buddy, there are OTHER cartoons on the air besides Spongebob Squarepants. There's Iron Man: Armored Adventures, The Secret Saturdays, Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force, Batman: The Brave & The Bold, Justice League, Naruto, Storm Hawks, Transformers: The Animated Series, Wolverine & The X-Men, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Chaotic, Chaotic: M'Arillion Invasion, Avatar: The Last Airbender....I could go on and on. Most of the shows you mentioned are on cable/dish or whatnot. I admit that I haven't seen many of them all the way through but I have seen episodes of each. Wolverine and the X-men was pretty good and had a great plot, but was not picked up for another season. I'd type more but 'll run out of space. Your points are well stated.

Creo que el mejor capitulo de esta serie fue "The Perceptor File".

Damn straight. Couldn't have put it better myself. I'd love to see Bionic 6 and MASK beat the hell out of Harry Potter and his crew (just an example), that'd be awesome. Political correctness has dumbed TV down.

@saxocopter: I'd say that all Harry and Dumbledore have to do is say a magic incantation that shuts down the bionics, and...well that would be the end of them. (Not to say that this is a bad show; far from it, it's great. Just wanted to mention that little factoid.)

@SainoXotic; You can't judge everything by Spongebob Squarepants, buddy. And even if you don't like it as a show, it must be doing something right, since it's stayed on the air a long time and even has (*gasp*) adult fans.
