  • If they also manage to shape the traffic via destroying net neutrality then they could block sites like YouTube which allow us to express our opinions about their unethical monopolizing of these networks set up by taxpayer money.

  • Help do something about ubb before election time - visit Open media .ca

  • It shouldn't even be legal, yet the CRTC agreed to it. If the CRTC comes back with UBB I hope the Competition Bureau will force Bell to get rid of their telephone business (because with UBB it will force VOIP out of the market), and their TV business (with UBB it will definitely kill IPTV not owned by Bell and services like iTunes and Netflix).

  • The Internet as we know it, is coming to an end, just look at the new net neutrality bill signed in the states, Its called Internet 2 get used to it.

  • THEESE GREEDY FACIST NAZI FOCKS NEED TO BE TOLD THEY CANT RAPE OUR POCKET BOOKS, THEY CREATED THE PROBLEM WITH THIS NEW FIBER 100+MBPS CONNECTIONS THEN BLAME PEOPLE FOR USING IT , WAKE UP PEOPLE LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE AND QUESTION EVERYTHING CAUSE WE ARE ALL BEING RAPED BY CORPORATIONS , THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND OUR GOVERNMENTS AND EVEN WORST FORIEGNERS IN THE CRTC DICTATING TO US GO BACK TO UR OWN COUNTRY AND DICTATE THERE WE ARE A FREE COUNTRY

  • next Bell will charge extra for data coming from netflix, D2D, steam, XBL, and PSN.

  • I hate bell! worst company i have ever delt with customer service wise. i had to phone 6 times to get my digital cable cancelled and then for the longest time afterward they kept sending me bills saying i owed them money when i did not. stay away from bell!

  • what have they been spending money on for 15 years?? it certainly doesn't seem they were too occupied in putting it into strengthening the infrastructure of our internet. you know the internet taxpayer payed to put in place?

  • If I ever see Konrad Fuckenstien I will punch him in the face.

  • Bell pays less than a cent to move 1GB of data and charges $2.00 to anyone that goes over 25GB/month

  • Rules and Regulations are not the answer to every problem we have in Canada , but it is necessary in this case to have proper regulation to ensure that free speech, and competition on the Internet don't lose out to Corporations or Government repression of it's citizens. We really need to get this right Canada.

  • The Internet was designed to be a place where the lone blogger or little startup can take on and beat a media conglomerate or fortune 500 company, for the benefit of all citizens and consumers of Canada. The absence of these protections and the concrete actions that some ISP's have taken in light of this threaten to do away with the Internet as a marketplace of products and ideas. The Government has a role in making sure the Internet is a neutral platform for speech, debate, and creativity.

  • Three companies (Rogers, Bell and Telus share over 94% of Canada's wireless market.) There also isn't any law that prohibits ISP's from cutting special deals with big company's to make sure that those company's sites and applications get to users faster.

  • If ISP's are able to control the speed at which content moves, they come closer to deciding what content moves at all. This would be a crying shame for Canada, as many Canadians deal with oligopolies such as Bell, Rogers , Shaw, Vidéotron as ISP's is virtually the same as having one ISP to choose from.

  • There are two major issues that drive the need for Internet legislation in this country: Censorship and Innovation. Right now, there isn't any law that prevents Internet service providers (ISP's)from slowing down or stopping internet content or communications that they disagree with.

  • You can find the group on Facebook under "Stop UBB in Canada"

Please sign the petition against Usage Based Billing, we as Canadians already pay too much for so little service.
