FYI: Star fox 2 was technically not cancelled, they decided to have the game on the n64

thus Star fox 64 was born.but they did change a few missions and decided to ditch a few characters that were supposed to appear and changed the music

@EclipseHedgehog It's technically not an eyepatch. Supposedly, it's a targeting system of some kind which Wolf originally uses in the Venom fight in 64, or that's what Nintendo claims it is.

I saw the game and I was drooling.. Strategy based 3-D environment with the basic tar Fox game play in the mix, and a vaste selection of pilots.

A shame it never reached the states. Wtb a Re-Made Star Fox 2 with today's Graphic's Engine, leave the basic story line and characters in place. I can guarantee you it'd be the best Star Fox game if they did do that.

Well, not necessarily, Star Fox 64 and Starfox2 are essentially two different games. Star Fox 2 seems far more in depth and leans more towards a strategy game more than anything else.

Also, sometimes gameplay and storyline outplays graphics. Starfox 2 had alot of potential imo.

I never understood why Star Wolf's theme sounds like a Hispanic song. As much as I like this theme more than the current one, to me the Hispanic part just seems to ruin it. I mean, Pather sounds more like a Spaniard than Wolf does.

This song started out as an attempt to recreate the SF2 Star Wolf theme like was done with the SF64 one from Star Fox Assault. You may notice the beginnings are similar. But, the piece quickly became more than that.

Believe it or not, the "sequencer" I used was NoteWorthy Composer.

I have since graduated to Cubase.
