Last friday I pass by a ford dealer in San Diego Ca and I saw 3 of this babies so I made a u turn and went to take a look at them. It just perfect, the only thing missing that I would like and it will be a pain in the ass to go aftermarket is a pushstart button, but other than that this truck was great. The guy let me turn it on so I could of play with it and when I did, wow that 6.2l it just a monster. I dindt test drove since he wanted to check my credit and my credit is kind of low (for now).
What a waste of 42 thousand dollars. Still no long bed, and no double cab. Ford wont even list the specs for this truck on their site. It goes back to the weak spec for the F- 150. I wonder what towing is like with those 35's, and short bed wheel width. IT SUCKS> thats why they don't list it. Just buy a Ford diesel! Or a Tundra for 32k with long bed, double cab, 4x4, 400 horse power.. that tows 10,300 all day with 35's on. Or just waste your money on a Raptor!!
@sexyhedon dude this thing isnt built for max towing capacity. ya it can hold its own in the towing and hauling world but its a off-road truck. if thats not what you are goin for then yes, buy a diesel. but dont dis this thing. its designed with other capabilities in mind
@sexyhedon well this truck is not ment for pulling heavy loads or being a school bus. If you like offroad you know that a shorter truck is always better and who wants to take a long ass school bus offroading? having a crew cab it would just kill the sporty looks on this truck. So there is no comparison with this truck, this truck is one of a kind.

No HID ligths, no dual exhaust? No paddle shifters? for a 40k car it should be standard, but dont get wrong I love this truck and I could always go aftermarket, but still it would hurt.
@mextijuas Yea, you've got a good point.. But this thing is about the same price as an FX4 with minimal add-ons. Plus you can't get an FX4 with 4.10 gears or $5,000 worth of suspension parts for cheaper than $38,000.
That's just how I look at it.. And good news, the new 3.5L EcoBoost V6 they're putting in the F150 might be available in the Raptor soon! I just think that because they have a version of the Raptor going into the Baja just like they did with the original Raptor.. :)

Wouldn't the retractable running boards from the Platinum trim actually be a bit better for off-roading? They sit virtually flush with the body.
Other than that Ford has hit this one out of the park!

those are made from plastic, the ones on the raptor are steel with a bed liner cover, and are there to deflect rocks from the body when off road
