this pedal sucks. I had mine for... i dont even think it was a month, and it broke. not the outside, the interrior broke. its pretty much a waste of money
you can get a real pedal like the Destroyer or the omega pedal for £20/$25-30 by buying a real pedal dismantling your old pedal and putting the magnet and the sensor on the pedal i'm doing this method and then i'm going to use the roadie pedal with it for double base when i get my IONS at christmas (because christmas sales are cheap :P :L lol)
my brothers alisis kit came with one of these - its works on the rockband kit, but is not as comfortable as the stock. It did work when we were awating a replacement pedal i got for ebay for £6.
actually its nothing more than a Millenium High Hat Control Pedal, I tried out mine from my Millenium MPS-100, and it really works better than a RB-Stockpedal and its much more solid.
yeah i got my roadie pedal about 3 days ago off Ebay for only $29.99 and it awesome, it came today and i used it for about an hour its way better than my old rb2 stock pedal
rb2 stocks are ok. but they break easily like mine did and they also are harder to push down.. but they're good for 2 feet on one pedal.. if you try doing 2 feet on 1 pedal on the roadie pedal its loud and annoying and hard lol but ya roadie is alot better
lol i do but the the one sensor is messed up and it hardly works. and i am preparing the splitter for christmas cause im getting band hero drums so i can do double bass drums and im getting a rb2 pedal
I have the rock pedal lol. Rock pedal and destroyer pedal are OBVIOUSLY the best options, theres no argument to be had there. This pedal is for less serious players, or those players who do not wish to pay 70$ for a legitimate bass pedal
Can I use 2 feet on one pedal with this pedal? On songs such as Indestructible, Inside The Fire, Are You Dead Yet, and Clouds Over California, I use one foot just fine. But on those crazy songs like What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse and This Is Exile, I just can't do it with one foot.
the one that links the pedal to the stock drumkit is a 1/4 to 1/8 cable and you can find them at like Radio Shack. It's been a while but I'm pretty sure that's the name
i got this pedal with my ions and i think it's alright. it's not as bad as everyone makes out... my only problem is that is sometimes double hits which is maaaaaaad annoying.
have you tried coupling two of those pedals with the new Roadie2 Coupler? I have some kind of "loss of signal" when i speed double kick on most of GH:Metallica songs on Expert+. I'm trying to find out if someone else has the same problem...
Heh, I think it took me somewhere like three hours of playing to break the original pedal xD. Use a drum pedal together with a practice pad which I've modded with the magnet and sensor to pick up the hits, works great ;).
i went and got the metal petal yesterday and it is really good u can push it down faster and it has a skeleton on it its made with a metal plate on the top 4 suport plus its like $20 bucks but i just fixed my original petal so now ive got dubble bass
nice review. been using 2 roadies for about a year now and love them. i actually mostly only use one now since i can double hit it really well, much better than that shitty original!
i remember when i got the ion drums i hated the pedal but i got used to it and it was good but at that time i had the destroyer too so i got the adapter for the pedal and i got the best formation ever ions with destroyer YAY !!!!!!
i have it to my electric drum set and i think it kinda sux u can hit fast whit it at all, its too easy to push down, u cant even rest ur foot on it :/
although i've already done a video review for this pedal, i would still recommend it to anyone that is having a tight budget for rock band accessories. I wouldn't do so if you currently live in an apartment or anywhere where your room is above someone elses. It constantly pounds the floor especially on exp songs and makes a clanking noise when the magnets hit.
Depending on what kit youre using, I do it all the time on the ion with the pedals that are ion-compatible (the rock band 1 and original roadie pedals are not ion-compatible, but the ion stock pedal and rock pedal are) But idk for your kit if its not ion, someone else feel free to post
This pedal is fundamentally the same as the original Rock Band pedal. It should work the same way with a splitter. I say go for it. If it doesn't work then hey, you already have a new fantastic pedal.
it wont work, it works the exact same as the rb stock pedal so double bass will not work properly, just goto gamestop and get the official double bass adapter and you get a rb2 stock pedal with it
Malcom is right, If you get the official splitter (not from radio shack) itll work. NOTE TO ALL PEOPLE I AM NOT SAYING THIS IS BETTER THAN THE DESTROYER OR ANY OTHER PEDAL. SIMPLY A CHEAPER OPTION FOR THOSE WHO DONT WANT TO SPEND MORE!!!!
You have consider the sensitivity, though. The Rock Band pedal takes some energy to put down, and is somewhat difficult to accidentally hit. The Roadie Pedal would help with double kicks and such, but would seem prone to several unintended combo breakers. This would also apply towards fatigue however, and would provide a relief in long/bass filled songs like Are You Dead Yet, Indestructible, and Panic Attack. As someone plays for accuracy due to song completion, I couldn't see myself using this.
All very good points, and the real problem presented to players is how much you are willing to spend. This better is very sensitive, and overhits are not really a problem in spite of it being that sensitive. Also people buy pedals to play the whole game, instead of just more difficult songs like those mentioned. People playing those USUALLY have a higher end pedal to make them easier if those songs are within their playing ability. *Inhale* lol
I play with this pedal and can't recall ever unintentionally hitting the pedal. Sometimes, I just hold the pedal down because it's so easy to press. I play all types of songs and can't stand to play on the original pedal now. I say you should use the Roadie Pedal. ^_^
I got this pedal as a hi-hat pedal with my electric kit. I wanted to play with it, but I had 1 problem: the two sides of the chord are both that big, so I can't plug it in. So what I would like to know is: Is there a converter, and if so, how much does it cost and what is its name? Thanks for your help :)

joeskizzlespoon 2 years ago
You have consider the sensitivity, though. The Rock Band pedal takes some energy to put down, and is somewhat difficult to accidentally hit. The Roadie Pedal would help with double kicks and such, but would seem prone to several unintended combo breakers. This would also apply towards fatigue however, and would provide a relief in long/bass filled songs like Are You Dead Yet, Indestructible, and Panic Attack. As someone plays for accuracy due to song completion, I couldn't see myself using this.

how long would it take to be shipped if you put fedex home delivery?

I got the same exact pedal with my electronic drum kit, no the ion.
It seems too light for me.
I like some heavy ones, and ones that actually FEEL spring enforced.
