Why do you not isolate each fruit ? I ALWAYS isolate each item/material when i introduce it to the child in a 3 period ... its just a question not a criticism

the next stage could be : take the banana to the other table. take the apple to mr.teddy bear.. and so on. the child comes back and you say : bring the orange back. and so on... than you can say : now we will eat the ( show with the finger on on of the fruit ) and the child must say the name. you can do that before the snack.

You can also think of the three period lesson as the difference between testing a child with a multiple choice question, and finally with an essay question.
