  • What's the movie near the beginning where the woman throws her change into the guy's coffee cup? I swear that scene has been bubbling in my brain forever, I just don't remember what the hell it was.

  • @SchwarzeWitwe2 Two Weeks Notice, pretty sure.

  • Oh come on The Sweetest Thing scene in the bathroom was hilarious

  • I love the many Sandra Bullock film references

  • lol

  • Which is why everytime one of those jackass writers gets some piece-of-shit rom-com screenplay, like those shown above, greenlighted by a studio exec, both the screenwriter and exec who okayed it both have to have ten hairs tweezed from their groin, preferrably the ballsack area. If it's a woman writer, then straight from the taint. This is why I and other men don't go to rom-coms, because they're reliably stupid, and all get bad reviews.

  • @Stentor7

taint? Excuse my naivete, but what is that?

  • @mscocorosie In the groin, it's the perineum, the area between the anus and vagina, in a man underneath the scrotum next to the anus. It's an old joke because it "taint" pussy, and it "taint" asshole. Get it?

  • @Stentor7

Thank you so much. Very informative and wonderfully blunt answer. Very much appreciated.

  • @mscocorosie I don't know about blunt, I was just trying to be straightforward and anatomically correct. I'm not embarassed to say words that are the proper names for the twisty bits, Penis, Vagina, Scrotum, Labia, Anus, Perineum, etc. are all just labels. Blunt to me has always described a certain lack of subtlety, or tact. In this case, there's really no way to be subtle without confusing the issue, so I just laid it out as diplomatically as possible.

  • @Stentor7

Either way, I appreciated not being mocked.

  • @mscocorosie Not mocking you, just answering your question in 500 characters or less.

  • Wouldn't it be easier just to beat them?

  • Yet people still watch this shit and actually pay money to see it.

  • When I was younger I watched these chickflicks I got the impression that

clumsiness was charming. Now I realize it just gets you injured.

  • The one with Hutch one shouldn't count since she was kicked lol.

  • They pick clumsiness because it's not a big deal for the target audience. Even a clumsy chick can't mess up the simple act of lying still with her legs open.

  • To be fair to Eva Mendes, she wasn't clumsy she got kicked in the face by clumsy Wil Smith.

  • HA! Stupid bitch...

  • Surely the last one shouldn't count because that was Will Smith's fault.

  • Porn(ish) music and women screaming. Definitely NSFW. Also, hi everyone from Cracked.

  • cracked!

  • Somewhere out there, someone is getting off on this.

  • @Scrythe Curses, they're on to me!

  • Cracked.com sent me...

  • Crickity cracked!!!

  • To be fair, in the Hitch scene it was Will Smith that was the clumsy one, not Eva Mendes.

  • While it's a damn good montage, the Heartbreaker's clip doesn't fit in here. Paige fell because her mother deliberatly shoved her foot under her to make her fall for a con. The character isn't actually in any way clumsy, just cursed with a jerk mother.

  • THAT GOD DAMN VOICE OVER GUY.

  • @momochuu HE'S IN EVERYTHING!

  • cracked.com

  • Ah, seeing so many actresses I dislike getting trampled is priceless.

  • i love how the comments became a debate on the ethics of hollywood because of cracked....haha

  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer did it perfectly. She was beautiful but outcast because of her calling. She was tough but still vulnerable. She was the hero but was drawn to the darkness like a magnet.

Fucking Joss Whedon created a character that didn't have to be a clumsy idiot to be relatable. I'm a guy and I totally relate to Buffy. Why can't hollywood get it right?

  • Am I the only one who sees a disturbing implication that Hollywood likes to see women get hurt?

  • @puff222001 nope!

  • @puff222001 Totally. Also in practically every horror film ever made a beautiful woman is mutilated and murdered in some horrific way

  • @puff222001 Hollywood generally likes everyone getting hurt both emotionally and physically. Hence the conflict at the core of most big budget films.

  • That quote has to come from Anthony Lane.

  • In fairness to the movie "Hitch," Will Smith -does- kick Eva Mendes in the head. I can understand falling into the sea after being kicked with some force in the head while perched on a jetski. That's forgivable. The rest? Unforgivable. I'm male and I'm tired of seeing beautiful actresses playing beautiful clichés. By the looks of it, so do those watching and commenting on this video.

  • Who is the actess in the bit `this is Nora´?

  • @EVANxSOLIS Kat Dennings, in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. by the way, the movie is terrible and the book is awesome.

  • @EVANxSOLIS Norah from Nick & Norah's infinite playlist :)

Although I can't remember a single clumsy scene from her...

  • C-C-C-CRACKED!

  • Thanks christina H

  • Lord, even the bits with announcers setting it up is the exact same!!!

  • Cracked brought me here

  • @kshift52 Christina brought me here.

  • @kshift52 YES.

  • I don't care if it's an insulting movie cliche, I will find it funny and I will not be ashamed.

  • All women are in a constant battle with gravity.

  • I bet this is like the Hollywood make-up for a Mary Sue.

  • CRACKED!

  • Poor Eva Mendes wasn't clumsy in that clip, she got kicked in the face by Will Smith!

  • What movie is the very last one, Julia Roberts upset lying on snowy stairs??

  • Exactly!

  • Exactly

  • @MrsMogsey mona lisa smile!

  • @MrsMogsey Mona Lisa Smile

  • Cracked :)

  • @AbstractOddity Amen Brotha!

  • OMG! IS THE CAT OKAY?!

  • Prince Charming = A romance cliche in itself.

  • Movie at 0:21 anyone?

  • @wazzobazzo The Jane Austen Book Club.

  • what's the movie with the treee at 0:31? please! :)

  • @rominou80 the ugly truth

  • making sandwiches is harrrrrrrrrrd

  • I still don't get why girls get so embarasse and over the top, only bcuz they fall. They're like "it was so ashaming!" - Bullshit!

  • The problem: Audiences have to be able to identify and sympathize with your main character. She must be just flawed enough to seem realistic, but not so flawed and realistic that it reminds the audience what losers they are.

The answer: Make her fall down.

    Done.

  • You Know That Thing Where women fall down in romantic comedies?

  • WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOUHHOH!!!

  • These are all just bad movies. No real trend.

  • This should be titled "Women Be Fallin'"

  • I'm surprised this didn't include Bella Swan, wasn't being clumsy her one character flaw?

  • @soapygirl83 Twilight isn't exactly a romantic comedy.

  • @soapygirl83 On top of kissing another guy right in front of the guy she's supposed to marry, letting a bunch of people kill each other over her safety without so much as caring, having absolutely no interests, suffering from co-dependence issues to the point that she hallucinates whenever she's in danger, so she purposely endangers herself, even tries to kill herself, just to get mental images of her 'true love?'

Bella Swan's one character flaw is that she's a horrible character as a whole.

  • @VAKenkaku lol I was being sarcastic. We're talking about how the twihards view her, not rationally thinking people.

  • I bet you most of the scripts were written by men.

  • @erniehead And loved by women, what's your point?

  • @ERoBB1 Did you miss the opening quote? Do you really need me to explain the intent of this video? Do you??? Please see the quote by @emoasfxck and do the same

  • @erniehead You need help. You're clearly confused.

  • @ERoBB1 Let me break it down because you're comprehension is that of a 3 yr old. Men write scripts about women. Men make women fall down. Those films = bad for women. Bad for women because it makes them look like fools who need men. Did you get my point or do you need more help?

  • @erniehead I don't think you understand what I'm saying. What do you think my stance is?

  • They have to be flawed to be realistic and likable, but not actually flawed because the audience has to be behind them 100%. Ambiguity, such as an actually flawed protagonist, Hollywood don't want that shyyaaat.

  • @explodingplant2 Yep, totally right, why bother creating a complex character with some bad aspects like every one else when can just make her a little gooffy.

  • @explodingplant2 SIR! You have paraphrased that from this CRACKED article! cracked.com/blog/6-obnoxious-assumptions-hollywood-makes-about-women/ Please give credit where it is due!

  • @mrmoe18 *Miss. I like to give credit where credit is due :) Also, I don't read Cracked. I have several tirades, example: American TV punishes ingenuity (Arrested Development, Freaks & Geeks, Firefly, etc etc) while BBC nurtures it (The Office, Steven Moffat projects, all the comedy teams). If Cracked also wrote an article on that, let me know, I'll be sure to credit them from now on >_> Talk about obnoxious assumptions...

  • @explodingplant2 or write why TV is catering to stupid people. (solution: "smart" people know how to illegally download crap.)

  • @vl0k "smart people know how to illegally download crap." :O That may be true...... .... :( Reminds me of college when roommates would be in the sitting room watching some reality show, housewives or Jersey Shore, and I'd be in my room watching 30 Rock.

  • @mrmoe18

Paraphrased an article from a day ago? What are you a fucking idiot?

  • @mrmoe18 Haha. Didn't think that through.

  • Bridesmaids is a nice step up for women in comedy

  • These movies need to fuck off and die.

  • I dream of a world where a woman can be funny in a film. Best getting working on it in real life first....WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • Spiffy!

  • looks like stupid cunt comedy

  • @thenfm lol youre angry

  • @ihnlChiv lol you're angry aren't u cunt? hahahahha :)

  • @thenfm haha im wrong you crazy
