I have the first episode but I can't post it because FairUse Wizard doesn't like the disc it's on for some reason. (Out of about 600 discs, I have a handful that FairUse reacts to by turning the picture GREEN for some reason, and that's one of them).
The team Ball State lost to 62-10 in '92 was Kansas. It got even worse 8 years later in their next trip to the sunflower state, losing to Kansas State 76-0. This was in the middle of a 23 game losing streak. Letterman had talked about it on his show when it happened in 2000.
I remember during a show from a few months ago that if Ball State defeated Michigan, anyone who could prove they were at the game would receive a shiny nickel. Dave then discovered the US Mint wouldn't be able to have that many nickels minted.
Hilarious!

a fan of cancelling game shows maybe (1980 and his 90 minute variety show took out 3 of them, including Hollywood Squares)
