@stangtrax Honda announced the SH-AWD 7 years ago and released the first of those systems in 2005 in the Acura RL, as it was already good enough for street use. that means they've been testing and polishing it for more than 7 years now. (they also had active torque distribution on the front-wheel drive Honda Prelude since 1997)

Honda has by far the most engineering experience (cars, motorbikes, generators, boat motors, planes, robots and lots of crazy experimental stuff)

@BenFranklin997 the new civic is trash, true. honda hybrids all do better than 50mpg in real life. v8 are overrated. their rwd are S2000 and NSX among (older) others. dual clutch is trash (tho they have it on the VFR). honda iVTEC-i engines have direct injection. 500hp can be unnecessary and even bad depending on the weight, consume too much fuel and need big heavy engines to be produced. v12 are for idiots with too much money and small dicks
