The world only express concern when the abusers are men. Women also rape children but we don't speak of these sings, we are not suppose to. I have a friend this happened to and it took a long time for them to overcome it because the person was close to them and even though they spoke up about it, nothing was ever done about it. The perpetrator is now deceased and the people remaining who were involved now are just like empty shells with no feelings and now I feel like crying.

Yes, emotional abuse is very bad. THere were times I wished my ex would just hit me and get it over with, instead of continuously berating me. When the state refuses to do nothing to protect abused children you may have to protect your children on your own. As I said I don't condone it, but I don't condone abuse. Period. The child abuse hotline can and will not help you. It offers false hope. Abuses know how to "charm people/the system." The police will tell you to contact CPS/HRS.

Childhelp USA (1-800-4-A-CHILD) All they will do is connect you with your local CPS (Child Protective Services) and the abusers (male and female) know how to avoid the system. My father could charm the pants off of a snake, so to speak. When I was a teen, I called Childhelp USA 3 different times and they connected me with CPS in Fairfax Co., VA. CPS did nothing to protect me or young brothers.

They finally threaten'd me that if i leave they will call police and if they find me at a friends house they will file a report on them too. There are so many people out there with warped views on what is discipline. They mistake it for abuse. Sometimes a child needs to be disciplined in a physical way to get the point. But try and tell that to the meddlers who would rather your child grow up to be a spoiled drug taking, crime committing, jerk who would rape and kill your 6 year old granddaughter because you interfered into something that was never your business and spared him proper discipline and in doing so ruined his life.
