  • taylor does'nt block and does'nt bob

  • Kelly is a tough cookie from youngstown!

    -the Great LEnnox lewis

  • this was a great fight

  • YOUNGSTOWN is in the HOUSE!! I'm a big Pavlik fan, and much respect goes to Taylor as well. If Richard Steele was the referee, Pavlik's career would have been tarnished in round 2. I'm glad he's no longer a ref.

  • PAVLIK is so great. Despite the 10 count, i dont really think that Taylor wanted anymore of what he got. He is a great fighter and i personally like Taylor myself but once again a couple of weeks ago, "THE GHOST" proved that he's the better fighter. Keep it up Champ.

  • say what you want to but i'll tell you this much, Pavlik is one heck of a fighter and he showed once again a couple of weeks ago that He's the MAN and Taylor CANT beat him. I personally like Taylor myself and he's great but "THE GHOST" has too much for him. I dont think the 10 count would have mattered too much in the first fight. Hats off to taylor but Kelly, YOUR THE MAN and you are the Champ!!!

  • You know what I hate now (don't care how much I know Jermaine wasn't getting up, like so many other fighters)? It's that they hardly ever give the 10 count anymore. I just think that is so important to boxing to remember to do so. To hell with that! I wanna see people "really" lose, like most times in old school. It's unfair to the fans not allowing those records to show KO by the L, without that T that basically says the KO was a "tender" one.

  • I'd like to see Pavlik fight Joe Calzaghe thatd probably be good.

  • Calzaghe is afraid to fight Kelly, he will probably retire after he fights Roy Jones.....Yeah Calzaghe is a great fighter but his biggest fights have been or will be against the best boxers from the 90's in Hopkins and Jones. I have to question if he is as good as everyone says. He definitely is a hall of famer though, I just wish I could see him against some good competition

  • lllllllllooooooollllllllllll

  • to come back from that knockdown, and even win by knockout, is the sign of a true champion.

  • wow, they fight again... i believe we will see the same result.. i kinda feel bad for taylor

  • Classic line from Lennox... "Pavlik is a tough cookie from Youngstown". Lennox is a funny dude. Big it up in here.

  • You know, too, when I stop and look again I can note the following: when Taylor is on the canvas, the ten count "could be" going, technically speaking. If it were, you'd see that Taylor, after ten seconds, is being "tapped" on the face, which is to bring him back around -- for me, unquestionably ending that perceived hype that he should have been given a count in order to possibly get up. Yep, that man was gone.

  • i dont think people saw how many flush right hands taylor took b4 inevitable he fell. its a shame, and i would be surprised to see these 2 fight again

  • is it just me or does pavilik look so much bigger than taylor

  • its just you. pavlik is tall and lanky with God given power. but just lookin at him he doesnt look intimidating...perfect examply looks can be decieving. taylor looks much better physically and can hit hard...just not hard like pavlik. Pavlik is my 2nd fav. fighter...right after miguel cotto

  • Kelly is very good at setting up his opponents at the right distance with his jab.Taylor should of tried avoiding the accumilation of right hands by switchin up his footwork but he wanted to bang it out with that "tough cookie". He could of won if he fought smarter and used his energy more efficiently. Oh Well, Id love to see mayweather vs pavlik...even though floyd is lighter i bet he still whoop dat ass

  • ok bro_ you ruined everything good you said when u came out and said floyd would whoop pavlik lol> Pavlik would send floyd str8 to hell. and taylor got lucky in the second round. pavlik would beat taylor 10 out of 10 times_ most likely all by KO.

  • I've never doubted pavlik's knockout power 4 damn sure. Mayweather is an elusive counter puncher at his best and I think he'll be smart enough not bang it out or let pavlik get comfortable. ON the real tho, how are you gonna say pavlik will send floyd str8 to hell? Pavlik is 2 slow 4 floyd.

  • they said pavlik was too slow for taylor_ look what he did to him dude. they said cotto was too slow for shane mosley_ he outboxed and out slugged mosley_ the main dude to beat floyd is cotto_ and floyd is ducking him

  • even though you posted this a year ago it caught me so off guard I just have to respond. You do know floyd fights at 147 and always looks for the big payday against lesser fighters. He's only such an elusive counterpuncher because he fights guys that stand right in front of him or like hatton come right at him. In other words he fights guys that arent hard to hit to begin with like the late arturo gatti. Floyd is a slick boxer no question, but he's also a chickenshit. He ducks everyone

  • At 5:30 you see one of Jermaine's sisters, as well as his wife behind him when he gets up. The sister looks scared as hell, and I imagine his wife was really trying to keep it together after what she just saw. Man, it's something to have your family there to see you get the worst of it. But all I can think of is round 2, where I think I saw his wife happy as hell when she thought he was gonna put Kelly away -- Oh well.

  • Well, that must makes it official (what I was thinking could possibly be indicated when Jermaine's decision was clearly decided) -- he knows he's not & won't be ready in just a few months, maybe never.

  • kelly pavlik's a fucking badass

  • I hope Jermaine can make the needed improvements for the next time he faces Kelly. Right now, all I can say is it's good to see, at least, people having a newfound respect for JT, after he went out and tried against a longer, stronger puncher; he went in there to try and win, and went on his shield with that intention. 'Gave a fine account of himself in his loss. Better luck next time.

  • there will not be a rematch..jermain taylor has REJECTED the rematch clause

  • you know.. I would have had new respect for JT after the fight.. but all the disrespect from him and E.S. to Pavlik before the fight just states how ridiculous THEY look that night.. trainer and trainee.. and I think E.S should definetly apologize to the ghost's coach for dimissing him before even the bell rang for round 1

  • Well, cbasaggie, as Kelly said -- Emanuel is paid to say all that, so there were no hard feelings. It's all a part of the game, though some do it more than others. Jermaine trained hard as hell in that fight because he wanted to prove something, and he did okay. Unfortunately, it just was not quite what he nor a lot of others supporting him expected.

  • Taylor couldve easily taken a knee, dumbass humans and their pride.

  • this may not be as noteworthy as the hagler-hearns bout for most people but i think this fight will eventually go down as one of those you'd never forget just like the castillo-corrales (RIP) match. who says boxing is dead?! never was and never will.

  • Pavlik showed Taylor what he should've done in round 2!!

  • always believed that the ghost will go all this way and stamp himself and his style of boxing in a way that people will always remember! lennox couldn't agree any better...KP showed the heart of a TRUE CHAMPION

  • Jermain received plenty kufi popping when he got caught in that corner.

  • Of course she should be cheering her man on. Too bad he was in the ring with a man who had the perfect style to defeat him. Jermain should've never took the fight. He has many flaws but you cant question his willingness to fight the best.

  • New Champ

  • Taylor is boring. It was great to see him get nailed in the corner with upper cuts, and deadly lefts until the ref steped in and saved him from an even worse beatin. Did Taylor's wife piss anyone else off, she was standing and screaming in the background almost the entire match. She wasn't screaming at the end of the fight though, weird.

  • Damn, well if no one else goes for a man, I would certainly hope his family would be cheering loudest, or whatever. Are you under the impression Jermaine should not have a fan in the world? I mean, I notice you didn't mention how loud the Pavlik fans lit up the building throughout. And not even that they shouldn't, but both fighters deserved much cheer at points as there was competition most of the way. I can't wait until the next meeting.

  • There is no next meeting...Jermain Taylor has REJECTED the rematch clause....KELLY PAVLIK V.S. JOHN DUDDY JAN. 26TH ATLANTIC CITY

  • My boy from Y-Town! DA GHOST, BABY!

  • this must be a trilogy! nice ko!
