Strictly speaking from a biological standpoint - if you strip away all of our materialism and "adopted" lifestyle roles - all we really are, are human beings with primal urges... and from that biological/evolutionary view, we are anatomically paired male to female and female to male. I study psych at college, and often contemplate the psychology behind homosexuality. Conclusively i'm a little more biased than you. It's more complicated than simply putting it down to a "lifestyle" choice I think.
You may want to adjust your paradigm- normal can also mean "functional"....do a Wikipedia search for Dr. Aryeh Nusbacher at the Sandhurst Military Academy in the UK for an example. Her name is now Linette Nusbacher, whom her students refer to as Mrs. Gunfire! It is social stigma that reders functional, dysfunctional!
No, no, NO: a sociopath's ability to mimick normalcy is NOT the same thing as a person with a conscience interacting with society. You would equate psychopathology to transgenderism????? Please tell me you are not in the military, or have access to any weapon other than a plastic spoon!
I would argue that transgenderism is a sickness. What is the difference between wearing the mask of normalacy and being normal???!!! Thats what the word pesoanlity means to assume a persona or mask. A man wanting to become a woman is certainly when all is said and done a dis ease.
No, no, NO: Your terminology is skewed- you are defining "male" and "female" way too narrowly. Transgendereds would argue that they are what they wish to become. That is not "sick"- perhaps what IS are narrow definitions of "male" and "female".
Nice video, I think you hit the nail on the head. And while I agree the word 'tolerate' is somewhat negative, at the moment it is true. A large percentage of society is still in the process of seeing other sexualities as normal... and while it may be a bad word to the LGBT community, tolerance is a step above ignorance.
Thank You Sir...the real applause should go to that young lady in LA. If I can say something nice about Canada (and it is hard sometimes!) at least when gay marraige was declaired legal by our supreme court, nobody gave a shit....perhaps apathy is a step above tolerance, and one more on the road to normalcy!
I think she lives in Arizona, but was born in and visits LA. I could be wrong, but point aside, I noticed that with the Canadian people. I was watching a video where they interviewed people and their responses were, basically, "Oh... well, okay."

How can a transgendered person by any standard be considered normal??? but then normality has always been overated.

by your definition a serial killer could be considered normal
suprabuddha 4 years ago
YIKES! Just how could a serial killer's behavior or patholgy be considered a functional way of navigating society?
