the U.S. is like other nations. There are negative things and positive things. Since the early twentieth century the USA are the first, and inevitably they affect geopolitics, culture etc.. I'm afraid you cannot know for sure. There are eyewitness journal entries and other such douments that clearly state that many renegade British soldiers did in fact slaughter the innocent. Perhaps not all of them, but not all soldiers have kind hearts. Even without doumentation, it is probable that some did kill innocents out of sheer cruelty.
