Somehow some videos slip by me so now I'm catching up. Great job Barry on this great song from my all time favorite southern band. Excellent guitar work once again!
Steve, sir, I'm real honoured. If I could play a fraction as well as your 'Back Street Boogie', I'd be pleased with myself.... There always seems such diverse stuff to work on, I never seem to be able to concentrate on getting one thing good. I'm trying to learn difficult string quartet parts by Thursday...I think the phrase ''jack of all trades, master of none' was coined for me.... still, I'll keep on tryin!
My first pro soundcard was an 'M Audio Delta 44' - no XLR, jack only, and you must install the PCI board inside the computer. (sounds scary, but easy enough to do) - Worked a dream for me with 4 ins/ 4 outs that can come thru' a mixer if you like. Either piece of hardware then gives access to recording software, either included, or choose 4- track or more from the many available online.
Lynyrd Skynyrd not Lynard Skynard (saw in more info) how an old geezer like you could miss that!
haha! Fortunately you did a great cover it's really an homage i love the footage a big work you did there! and you really have the bluesy voice instead of me haha!
I looked up his name on Google - (I don't have any Skynyrd records- I'd always thought JJ Cale wrote this.)
Thanks for the comment, man... You really make me laugh!!! - I thought I'd do another tune while the greenscreen is still on the wall... and I'm having fun playing with my new drum programmer.
Glad you like it... great to hear from you, Ivmar! - from one old geezer to another -
So kind of you to spend the time looking at this lot, Allen.
I'm real lucky to be gigging with a great little outfit just now, but I still like to tinker around here at home. Also, a YT friend recommended me this drum programmer. I've never been able to work one before, and I'm terribly pleased with it. The lead player here has been sent for guitar - tuning training. Didn't notice til after I'd uploaded... there's always something.Lol.
It's the CLONE ZONE TRIO! Greetings, Barry -- this is *really*cool. I'm putting it right onto the playlist I'm formulating for blues, boogie-woogie, and rag. This is a great number. Other artists have to rely on band in a box. Not satisfied with that, you unbox ' "them" for real! You're working so many gigs, you're losing weight. Just don't forget to eat! Cheers, ~Terry, who likes that the white hats in life can rock out, too! P.S. great background video.
Yep, all these boys are real... One - take wonders... No meals for the lead player, however - not 'til he learns to tune his geetar properly! I left my black hat behind at a gig last week... hope I get to see it again...
Drums are from a box, recommended by my mate EdMuirton.. a fab new toy... wish I could drum in the flat, but my neighbours might not take to it too well! - Some day - I'm very honoured to be added to the playlist chez Terry!
Having great fun here with a new digital 8 track I got, cos me old faithful anolog one died. All new stuff to me! lol. Don'y worry about tunning your guitar Barry, I sure don't! lol. Hope you've had a grand Easter mate!
Wow.sounds good. Tape 8 track was really advanced in it's day. - On my last tune I wanted more than 8 tracks now I have the drums, - I'd wanted a string section ending, but the mixing down drove me nuts... My rig is 8 track software, with an 8 in/out soundcard to the pc.... someday, I'll load up 'Logic 24', which came with it, but I'm too scared 'cos what I have works great...
Lookin forward to hearing a tune off yer new rig. Like Freddy says, there's nothing like new toys!
Just made an arse of myself, it's Barry 3 hats!!
