  • cool retro kit...love it

  • Your kit rocks !!! Well done ! ty for posting.

  • It's just a little improvised boogie but I guess it's inspired by John Lee Hooker's "Boogie Chillun" - go find it and listen to it - it's a classic blues number.

  • Seriously every one with a cbg plays this song what is it?

  • Wonderful instrument and excellent playing! The sound is unlike anything I have ever heard! You are an interesting dude! Thanks, Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • Looks good. I have no idea how to play one, but it does look fun.

  • Dude you're fuckin awsome!I love your sound.

  • kool chords man love that song you played it really rocked me. stuff looks old I like it.

  • Seriously excellent kit, Smojo. I love the way it consists of stuff which you found in various places, like it all fell into your hands by chance. You said you're wearing yer best buskin hat so give ya a tip. Okay, so here's ya tip: If it looks like rain, carry an umbrella ! ;-)

  • @kepla - thanks. I sometimes feel that all the bits and pieces are just waiting for the time when they'll all get together to become a guitar or amp or something and so reach their true place in the universe! Thanks for the tip, I'm looking for a new hat :)

  • great set up - you are as sentimental as me getting all excited about old tat you find!

  • @MrRandomWritings - ta. Yes I can get quite passionate about a bit of rusty metal or peeling paintwork!

  • wow man nice box and a great sound it has

  • brilliant, you should be really proud of all that!!!....guitar sounds and looks great. Love the way you incorporated the things that were in the box...and good to see you used the bone bits from Randy. The case and amp are both great too....all individual and full of character...get out there and BUSK!!!

  • Thanks Belinda. I would have used the bone slide on here too except it's just a little too bulky when fretting with fingers.

  • @smojomusic I thought it was great that you were using a slide that you had made yourself as well : -)

  • cool CBG/cool case/cool amp/cool lead/cool everything.Can I have a quick go on it at Brum?

like you say, each item hangs together really well-RIGHT up my street.

    STUNNING.

  • wow - thanks mate, yes of course you can have a go at Brum.

  • Thanks everyone, it was all a bit rushed and unrehearsed so thanks for the kind comments. John I'll definitely be bringing it to Brum.

  • Smojo, great everything: guitar, kit, playing and video. Definitely a high-water mark.

  • nice Smojo,thanks.

  • Hi David...nice one...hope you'll be bringing that ...and more stuff down to Birmingham in October. Great rootsy vibe to the guitar...both the appearance and the sound. Most excellent good...to misquote Shakespeare

  • Brilliant work! I think you've taken things to a whole new level with these. I like all these items but the case has inspired me to make something like that for my guitar. Love the old look, and it matches your amp nicely too. Love the dice and skeletor features on the guitar, and the extra pick-up makes a world of difference.

  • A1 gestaltung!
