  • oh yea master cheifs microsoft sam voice at 00:31

  • lold My washing machine can play this game

Next Wii hit will probably be "Let's just sit while damn game plays itself"

  • I own it, it's super cheap now and honestly it's really good. It's surprisingly addictive and a great multiplayer game.

  • After 2 and a half years Sega finally released a code to unlock free style mode! Go to options then: To unlock Free Style Mode go to options

p 1: Point Wiimote at "0" on the screen and press A with Nunchuk connected

p 2: Point Wiimote at "2" on the screen and press A with Nunchuk disconnected

p 3: Point Wiimote at "0" on the screen and press A with Nunchuk connected

p 4: Point Wiimote at "3" on the screen and press A with Nunchuk disconnected

    Press B.

  • best game on the wii EVAR!!!

  • I tend to tap my legs to make beats when I'm bored. Maybe this could help :P

  • is this game good and is it easy to use ?

    xx

  • for 19$ canadian you can't go wrong!

  • sonic team, nice

  • looks like a button masher. but there aren't buttons, so a tap masher?

  • my sisters just love this game...

  • lets fap! xD

  • Runner that one is on iPhone now!!!!

  • this game looks awesome

  • The creator of Sonic's new game, people.

  • And yet, no game besides this has pressure sensitive contols.

  • Wow.. Let`s Fap looks great!

    .. I mean Tap!

  • Circle jerk anyone?

  • Alex would just rip the box to shreds and consume the wiimote.

  • this would be sick in head to head wifi play

and it comes out on my birthday

    whoo!!!

  • I'd tap that

  • awesome music!

  • hey everyone...lets tap!

  • japoneses qleaos no se les pueden ocurri estas weas xd

  • Finally a actual good mini compliation for once

  • its great that naka finally came up with a game, and a creative one at that. this is probably the first casual game that im actually interested in

  • Thank God it's not more "play for 10 minutes a day and you won't be fat/stupid/ugly/sterile anymore"

  • DK Bongos Wii edition! hey... thats a good idea, the DK Jungle beat remake should have controls like this! :)

  • they have wiimote and nunchuck as drums

  • The Wii Remake should have support for the original Bongos... I don't think it would have been too hard to integrate support for them... also Jet Race should have support for this..

  • ya i know... i was mad when dk Barrel blast wasn't dk bongo compatible... after all it was originally programmed for the bongos! what the hell, nintendo! c'mon nintendoooo.....

  • more games should use the wiimote like this :D

  • that's pretty cool and unlike most wii party games it actually looks fun and you dont have to buy any extra crap to play it at that.

  • that's really cool!!!

  • man, the let's tap music is so good. haha

  • The best part is when Microsoft Sam starts singing it.

  • That's actually Stephen Hawking, his debut single.

  • too funny...funniest comment i've read in a while! :)

  • I lol'd.

  • microsoft sam!!

  • What are they tapping on? A carton box, or some new, cheapass wii extension which surely will be sold for a lot???

  • You place the wiimote face down on top of a box. It can be any sort of surface that permits the wiimote to feel the vibrations to translate it to movement.

If you set the sensitivity high enough, you can set it on the floor and literally run/jump.

  • Haha, thanks, this seemed logical... It's just that I don't have a wii yet (will buy this month), so I don't know anything about it's sensitivity... Good to know that it can be quite sensitive...

  • no you idiot, theyre tapping on the wii box

  • ehh you poor bastard, you're no fun :P

  • Hah Lol

  • Wtf? Did they use microsoft sam?

  • shit looks pretty gay to me!

  • is it gonna be out in the uk m8

  • I'd tap that

  • ...

Odd. We'll see how it turns out, though. Perhaps you could set it on a drum, and drum instead of tapping on a box.

  • Yeah, a drum, that would be fantastic.

Another Wii peripheral to waste money on.

  • Drum? Peripheral??

    It's a Wiimote on box...

  • Yeah, I think that guy read me wrong.

  • What a strange song. O_o

  • Thank you for your insightful comment.

  • XD seriously, was notnrfb's comment even necesary? XD

  • Cant wait for part 2. Lets TAP that ass (the revisioning).

  • Micro$oft Sam?!

  • i could be mistaken but i thought i heard microsoft mary too XD

  • I thought it was Microsoft Ann?

  • soooo its more of a game for the box then the actual remote... time to go practice ahead of time

  • This looks rather original and fun.

  • Well it certainly has the song...!

  • wow huh LOL . chck out my profile for more vids. 7

  • amazing, how does it work?

  • Basically, vibrations from the box go to the remote.

If you want to see it visually get the Wii remote cusor onscreen on the Wii menu with a similar setup (remember it can't be hard like stone or glass)...you'll notice the cursor shake slightly proving the Wii can dectect the movements.

  • That's what I suspected. I don't actually have a Wii, but having played one I assumed that was the case. That's pretty damn impressive.

  • Cardboard Box: The Game

  • no, it's more like Cardboard Box=The Game

  • I knew people would have more fun with the box the Wii came in, then with the Wii itself, but I didn't think they'd take it this far. XD

  • The song is freaking catchy! also have to say the game looks fun too.

  • What is this? It looks like a tech demo!

  • FUTA TAPPING GAME

  • This is going to encourage me to tap constantly to music now..even more so than usual.

    FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • I want Donkey Konga for the Wii if you can do that.

  • This really was totally amazing fun, played it today at TGS. managed to beat the cute girl there 2/3 times, I think she let me win though LOL

  • track and field?

  • FUTURE TAPING GAEMS

  • That's pretty impressive. I had no idea the wiimote was capable of that.

  • Reminds me of Bishi Bashi...

  • this is actually an amazing idea it looks so much fun i'm definitely gonna get it i hope its like 30 $ though not 50

  • anyone know the track name?

  • Sure is Wii hating around here.

  • well, at least the song is nice...

  • This game looks like so much fun! Can't wait to buy it. Love the theme and theme SONG, too.

  • This song... It's Microsoft Sam? oO

  • Give it a chance, guys. Look at what we have here:

    - cool music

    - cool graphics

    - totally new control scheme

    - producer is the mastermind behind all the classic Sonic games

    - combination rhythm game and racing game, as well as some puzzle games

    It's got potential. Seriously.

  • I agree. I am so totally getting this.

  • No,I thought he left after Shadow the hedgehog....?

  • Classic Sonic games were average? Are you a fool?

Quit trolling and go play Call of Duty or something. Trying to ruin others' excitement is pathetic.

  • lol u mad

  • You don't even need to click more in the danmed description to see the words "Also, Sega".

Anyway wasn't "the sky is falling and Nintendo are finished, they'll be bankcrupt in a year" when they announced the Wii controls or everything they've done from 1995...

  • Okay, explain to me what good things they have coming out that will keep them afloat? I mean the Wii controls showed promise (that it later failed to deliver, but promise nonetheless). And wasn't Nintendo struggling to push Gamecubes off shelves? It's only now that they're appealing to non-gamers that they're staying alive but that can come crashing down really easily with this oversaturation of shovelware.

  • " And wasn't Nintendo struggling to push Gamecubes off shelves?"

Its true they were strugling to push them off the shelves but there were still making profits.

Apart from one quarter in the last 20+ years Nintendo has always made a profit.

I can't tell you what is coming out because you've decided to dismiss it as "casual non gamers" which the sky will fall in 2010 ZOPMG¬!¬!¬!!!¬£"QTEUJhuvoKYUt

  • So? Because I dismiss it as "casual non-gamer" crap means it ceases to exist? You still haven't listed them. Maybe because you have a nagging little voice in the back of your head telling you that you hate what Nintendo's doing and you don't want this casual gaming crap to exist either?

  • Nintendo isn't even making this game...

Fricking 3rd (or second... Which ever one it is) party developers are just poop on the Wii.

Some people are awesome, most don't understand the Wii as much.

  • This game is better than most other 3rd party offerings since it uses a new and never thought before control scheme instead of making another generic carnival crap.

  • LOL Carnival crap =) I have a craving XD

ANYWAYS, yeah... This control scheme IS Different than any other game, but I still don't exactly get how you play... I mean, tapping the box? HOW DOES IT KNOW? Is it the motion control? Is there a Wii Motion Plus attached?

  • it notices tiny changes in movement.

  • NVM about the Wii Motion Plus thing...

  • Oh I already own this game. Its called a box.

  • Let's not.

  • Sega owns.

  • lol ?????

  • Paying $50 for something I did as a kid with a shoebox and two markers? I'll buy two!

  • That damn song

  • Interesting concept, and the music's ace. A causal game that looks good can't be a bad thing... ^-^

  • Holy crap.

  • interessting concept... and i like the music

  • EPIC WIN!

Seems to be fun as hell, just imagine you tapping and the controller flying through the room!

    VUUAAAAAAASH! ROFL!

  • It's SEGA.

  • On a ninty console

  • Yeah but the game's by Sega. So if Sega did a similar thing for the Xbox (if possible) you'd blame Microsoft for that?

Watertight logic and common sense for the win!

  • i repeat its a Segas game for a ninty console. These kind of games release and will release only in Wii so the "if-s" are useless. Im not a nintendo h8ter or lover or whatever/ Nintendo aims to non-gaming audience thats the common sense myfriend. Unfortunatetly ninty boyz cant undestand that so useless

  • Right, because when Nintendo goes for an entirely different demographic they're suddenly not making games. I guess Metroid is a casual game. So are NMH, RE4, and Madworld.

And only on Wii? Of course, since the Xbox360 doesn't even have a motion-sense controller out at the moment, and seriously, would the PS3 controller be accurate with two bases?

Maybe you can take that "supreme" brain of yours and figure out what to do with those decaying Olympic buildings in your country.

  • WoW! You have even an opinion for my country. You must be a guru or something.

Open ur eyes, see the probs and competition in the real world and then come back and speak about anything u want.

Your syndrome is called "Ninty Fanboy bot". And I wont spend any more of my time to give you a serious answer.

Now, go to the ninty forums and speak with ppl who praise your favourite fav console. Dont forget to give me a thump down for my answer.

  • Sure, there you go. :)

  • <.<

Wow... What if SEGA made this game for PS3?

    Would you say the same?

"On a PS3 console"... Sheesh. People are still experiencing Wii, and my friend told me that Nintendo is making another console right now..

  • Your friend is an idiot.

  • What?

  • Sorry to hear that Nintendo/Sega doesn't only cater to hardcore people like you.

  • u should sorry for more important things and also think why the gaming isnt as the 90s for example.

  • The music is too awesome

  • That be perfect for a sonic game, for real.

  • I see someone else noticed that the running minigame looks like out of a Sonic game.

  • they probly have a secret sonic level. After all if sega is invloved there is a good chance.

  • There should be a mini-game where you tap along to your music. That could be pretty addictive.

  • So THIS is what Yuji Naka left Sonic for!

  • What I want to know is how the remote can possibly detect the tapping.

  • Accelerometers- they must be very sensitive!

  • They must be... I wonder what would happen if you just shook the remote the whole time.

I don't know how else it would ever receive input like this, but since it's flat side down, I don't think it would move enough for the accelerometer to detect it. Is this not a huge mystery for anybody else?

  • Looks pretty nifty, but I'd only buy it as Wiiware or at the most a budget title.

  • Another gimmick for the wii

  • True...but the song is nice.

  • Cool!!

  • Nice music.

  • fuckin nice music

  • The Wii offers new experiences, if you want traditional games get an Xbox360.

  • wiiリモコンって想像した以上の事が出来るな・・・

  • What does that mean? reply to vegalta

  • LOL Krauserowns is either an idiot who doesn't see the huge SEGA logos everywhere or maybe he's being a willfully thick fanboy.

    Either one is sad.

  • this song is too catchy for its own good

  • I love it.

  • Umm... this is made by Sega.

  • Another Code, The Conduit, Punch Out, and everything else reveled today want their dignity back.

  • Rage more bone-smuggler

  • LMFAO Microsoft Sam is singing in the song are you fuckin' serious?! xD!!!!!

  • Nice music, lol.

  • The last 20 seconds confused the hell out of me, but dang the theme's catchy

  • Like Jungle Beat but, hopefully, better (looks like they came up with a lot of much more interesting uses for the control idea, anyway).

  • It's impossible for anything to be better than Jungle Beat

  • There is.

    It's called Super Mario Galaxy.

It's brought to you by the same geniuses who made Jungle Beat though.

  • there is something better than jungle beat. its called donkey kong country

  • DKC is great and all but Jungle Beat is just in another league.

    Great song.

  • what... the fuck

  • fichissimo!!!!!

  • This is a wiiware game, right?

  • It is retail, ¥5800. Hopefully it'll have some great music and lots of graphics to make up for it.

  • Yeah, God forbid should anyone try to make arcade-y games this day and age. -.-

  • These controls sure are something we've never seen before.
