@katosteen hey genius they are primates not vermin dumbass, and if they were rats that would mean they are not endangered and crawl all over your house all the time.
I love to see how protective mother macaques are with their babies. I have a long tail macaque in Bali that was sadly kidnapped from his mother at a young age, then later sold to tourists. I cry when I think of the trauma the mother and baby felt at that time. Months later I rescued him after he was abused. At that time I heard there was no rehabilitation center in Bali. So, I had no other choice than to keep him. He (SHUTO) has been with us for four years now. They are amazingly smart.
@katanavilla Interesting, I saw a show where a lady was buying a baby monkey. She paid $5500.00 cash for it. The breeder joked at how after the female gave birth she had to pull it within an hour of birth ot it might get ate. The mama would throw the infant at her, The breeder (USDA Approved in Virgina) kept the baby in a dark cage alone so it wouldn't inprint on anyone but the owner. He was kept alone for 11 to 22 days to make sure he would survive.
@katanavilla Cont' The breeder laughed because the mama knew she was coming to pull the infant, and after 19 years, she would just throw the baby at her. The customer went to see the breeders, and she had the baby's scent on her. The breeder thought it was humorous at how the mama reacted to smelling her baby. The mama was very agitated and kept jumping around.
Nothing about how to raise him, just give me the cash and leave.
aren't these the most good-looking monkeys in the world?
