@SAStomblade actually the original frogmen were introduced at the end of WW2 in the pacific theater, they were basically underwater sappers and counter demolition they did all their work without air tanks and some without masks, it wasn't till Vietnam that anyone ever used the term SEAL though

@Piranha180x HELL WEEK is by no means anywhere near easy yes the training is difficult but the training is to develop you for hell week. Basically hell week is like game day after practicing long hard days on the field. Ive done something like the marines do "The Crucible" ive been awake for 72 hours with 3hrs sleep and little to no food and after that trained 2hrs twice a day for 5 days(running, swimming, push, pull, and sit ups) trust me NONE of that was easy even though i trained for it.
@TheEmowithsunglasses Most people are not fit anymore because of bad food habits. "Modern people" eat too much. Our ancestors, even our grand fathers used to eat much less and more natural food. People were in better shape that us!
Sometimes it is even good to not eat (only drinking) for like two days or three to "purge" the body.
Also we do not walk/move enough because we have a car etc...
My bad guys. Yes you are right . He was a member of the UDT, Frogmen. He is as sharp as a tack. To this day he can tell you every detail about the ships, equipment, what happened. I guess that is forever seared in his memory. He doesn't talk much about the war, but when he does he tears up.
@typodest You might have PLAYED a Navy S.E.A.L. video game for 6 days straight, but you are no S.E.A.L, little man, so don't post stuff like that. It just makes you looks stupid.. It's not like we can go look at your videos and see that you.
look up extreme SEAL experience. Its a course set up less for being fit and more knowing what its like after BUDs. Its run by Senior chief Don Shiply. a legendary SEAL. You'll met Patsy, wife of Danny Dietz, Ben one of the guys almost killed on operation redwing and many more. it was the best 8 days of my life. when i was there i got to meet and learn hand to hand by Mack, host of future weapons and former frogman. he also has a ch on youtube buds131
No he was not the actuall seals didnt come around until korea and vietnam. he was a diver or reconosance diver but not a seal. My grandfather was a frogman which was what they were called when they were underwater demolition divers but not seals, no land or air tactics yet.
@grrthetree Might have been UDT. Members of the Underwater Demolition Teams can rightfully call themselves SEALS. They were grandfathered in when the SEAL Teams were officially created.
@jonathanstile You're right, SEALS didn't exist in WWII. They began at the request of JFK. They did have a precusor program during WWII that included BUDs, that would as close to what we know as SEALS, but this was nowhere near what it is today.
@jonathanstile The SEALS officially came into existance in 1962. The UDT's were in existance long before that. WWII and I think even WWI. They were combined later on.
@zest4livin SEALs were not commissioned SEALs until John F Kennedy created them in the 1960s as clandestine, maritime operational force during peace and war times. Im not saying hes not a WWII veteran which is awesome btw but he is not a Navy SEAL.
Nope you're wrong. However you haven't been in the military so I wouldn't expect you to know much about it. My question is, If you have never done, or been a part of something how can you pretend to know something about it?
Judging by your spelling, I can see your education isn't top notch, so I will not overwhelm you with deep thought. I know you couldn't handle it anyway.
Read You Call This A Democracy? by Paul Kivel, Understanding Power by Noam Chomsky, Confessions Of An Economic Hit Man by John Perkins, Democracy For The Few by Michael Parenti and Corporate Media And The Threat To Democracy by Robert McChesney to develop an understanding of the true nature of the system and how it operates. Many of these authors are on Youtube. Please respond with your opinion of any of these authors if you decide to read them or check out their videos.
I wouldnt have to be an SS officer and kill twenty Jews to know that Nazism is wrong or hang around KKK members to know that the Klan is criminal. We are the latest imperial power no different than our predecessors in brutality and theft. The military is a key component of the rip-off in addition to economic manipulations, propaganda, bribery of rulers, etc. The military is not the government but corporations benefiting from a terroristic foreign policy and bleeding the taxpayer.
Yes im sure you can learn more from reading books then I did from 4 years of experience. Experience is the only true knowledge. Which is something you lack here. Something I learned after being discharged from the Corps and getting my degree. I read a lot of books in college, but it took work experience to really know my field. So due to me having much more experience and knowledge than you, I will repeat, you are wrong.
It actually depends on what you want... I actually don't agree with all of the push ups the guy is doing (frankly, they're useless), but for cardio and endurance I guess this does the trick. I'd worry more about pull ups, dips, and a little heavier on the weight.
Keep building that beach muscle to help you get laid. This is a workout for functionality. If you are a soldier, cop, or firefighter then this works better. Otherwise keep wasting your time with pointless and stupid bicep curls.
haha im training to be a navy seal for almost two years ive done cross fit before the workouts i do are harder and more productive sooo if you want to do a real work out you can come workout with me or you can stick to your box jumps and sldls's
Yeah youll learn how productive your bicep curls are when you get to BUDS. I am a former Marine so I have actually experienced military, which you have only trained for thus far. Your leg extensions wont help you for log PT. Cable crossovers wont help you doing a base tour. All you will do in BUDS and your SEAL career are trained for using the same principles as crossfit. Enjoy ringing the bell my young and inexperienced friend.
haha i havent done bicep curls in over a year when did i mention or tell you what any of my workouts are .... i didnt .... right now i work out with navy seals and am on my 4th time completing the navy seals guide to fitness ha all with out cross fit ....... suck it easy
i have herd from friends and a former team mate in high-school who is a navy seal now that cross fit is the way to go for training for any military special forces MOS or career. that muscle endurance and practical strength is better than bulk and brute strength
Seals came about in the Vuetnam war....not world war two....someones telling porkies

My dad in law was a SEAL in WW2. He is in his 80s and he still works out. Walks and swims everyday. He is in excellent shape. No health issues.
He says his bad habits are beer, and women. haha, good for dad.
