  • You stated that config was ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6470 but used ATI Firestream 9170 for computation...

  • Please, AMD, could you make a physics SDK that will run on the stream processors, or can physics also be calculated by Stream?

  • sigo pensando que CUDA es mejor!

  • When the hell can we use "ATI STREAM" FOR THE HD3800, Shouldn't this technology be available for all of the direct x 10 cards like nvidia did. I swear to god if they don't release "ATI Stream" for the HD3800 SERIES I'm going to move to Nvidia's side.

  • @WhizKid562 or you could buy a new ATI card for crying out loud, since we're already in the HD6 series :)

  • Go AMD. Pee on N-shitia.

  • shit on nshitia

  • @helldrell666 weeee ati forever

  • does one actualy have to use the video card to use this GPGPU technoligy?

I use a motherboard with a aticard built in i also use a separate graphics card for my graphics... SLI/crossfire is of less intrest to me as i use dual displays and i dont want to have to do work arounds to use 2 screens.

but i would love to employ that unused built in gpu thats just sitting there doing nothing...

  • wow steam, man i love to get my games in the store cuz steam is a shole company, period, my account got hacked once and it took them 2 + weeks to give me a new password, even tho i gave them all information within 2 hrs of the initial password hack.... that proofs to me that they have a big LACK of support. had some isues with billing once took 4 weeks to get back to paypal which is a 10 second process.. valve/ steam is a failure . my personal opinion.

  • What does Steam had to do with STREAM?

  • You are confusing Valve's Stream service, that lets you download and network games over internet, with AMD Stream, a GPGPU interface for programming AMD (ATi) graphics cards.

GPGPU stands for General-purpose computing on graphics processing units. Don't confuse these two in the future!

  • rofl

  • Shame ATI have s**t Linux drivers for there newer cards

  • not only on linux :) their vista drivers lack imrpovement right now as well...

  • From what i can tell at the Moment ATI seenms to be working more on there Linux drivers because any day Valve is gearing up to make a Linux client of Steam and if ATI drivers still suck every one will get Nvidia

  • That story has two sides... on one there are people with graphics cards that have in-house BIOSes... and these don't play well.

Then there are "dumb" clients that. instead of sending a proper bug report or asking how to, they flood the forum with bitching and yapping about how it doesn't work.

Most of us are OK... I myself am a happy Windows Seven x64 user.

  • The 9.4 driver seems to be okay - also with Compiz..

  • Go reds, go reds, go, GO!!1

  • Go aTI / AMD.

  • Ati VS NVIDIA :S

  • Is Stream ATI's answer ro Failvidia's CUDA? :)

  • yes- the nvidiots at nshitia are ngreedia

  • Then why are you watching ATI's videos? Btw, it's called Physx.

  • darrenc12pdg123 if you would know something about ATI then you would know that ATI cards support physx now also lol

  • ati = own

  • The future is parallel processing!
