  • anyone leaving in March for Cape May?

  • @GCLithing wait til you go to basic recruit! Then you'll get brainwashed like all the other devil dogs and think that your better than everyone. its all good tho cause only those who choose to enlist USCG or USMC know what it takes to survive bmt

  • Yea all requites wear bc glasses. Aka birth control because any one who wears them has not got laid!

  • I have mad respect for the USCG, they arent spoken much of from where im from, but the DI get in your face like the Marine Corps! navy and army arent even close to the intensity of the USCG, and im a poolee for the USMC. Just amazed.

  • question, are the glasses i see all military personnel wear like specialty approved or something?the frames are huge.

  • @allshallbelosttoyou yes, they have been specially engineered by the military to keep you from knocking anyone up.

  • My dad was a battalion commander at fort Benning I got to see the recruit training and it's easier with ur stress cards and shit I could keep up with them... Cg and army are hard in both respects so stop arguing... I'm in the cg and it was no fucking cake walk!

  • 15 year old girl and my dream is to join the coast gaurd

  • Been thinkin about Joing the CG... Any1 have any advice to give

  • Reception week at Ft. Sill we had like 3 suicides. Coming from an army boot camp I laughed hard as hell at the coast guard training. But in the end the CG is way better.

  • SHIPPING OUT WHEN IM 18

  • I leave January 3rd. I'm both nervous and eager for it... :)

  • @MagicAavelyn As am I!.. I feel the same way.. kinda crazy we're down to just a couple of days..ha

  • @MagicAavelyn i know you wont see this... but good luck! your in the same company as my fiancee =)

  • the army is still a joke you fags

  • man. yall may think tht people in coast guard arnt tht skilled, but i no a man in there. he is super badass

  • week one of army basic training at fort benning makes this look so incredibly weak, no disrespect intended.

  • Just Graduated yesterday

  • @Karkinelite congratulations and good luck to u!

  • hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahah try army infantry bitches

  • @Matt67144 Try Marine Corps infantry before you start talking trash. All of our armed forces deserve respect.

  • @Matt67144 wat does tht mean

  • graduated from cape may kilo 157. video brings back a lot of memories.

  • Yankee 159er 2001

  • Good times! Delta-124 graduated Jan 2, 1987.

  • Question, why do the coast guard graduates in front have those fancy white hats and the people behind them have little blue caps on?

  • @TaylorRhoat95 it was probably a sister company if a new batch is to big for one company they break it up into two maybe they did that to distinguish each other apart

  • Cadet Meason- US Army Junior ROTC cadet, Father United States Coast Guard rank-Petty Officer 2nd Class. Uncle- United States Army Rank-First Sergeant. Grandfather- United States Army rank- 1st Lieutenant. Cousin-United States Air Force rank- Technician Sergeant. Brother United States Navy-Seaman. I plan to finish this list of military family by Enlisting in The Marine Corp with my friends after my Junior ROTC experience. Hooah from the KMA.

  • They Changed My Date :( I Ship Out April 17. Sooo Sad.

  • hey fellas! I go to take my ASVAB in a week any advice overall? And what score did ya'll get?

  • I ship out March 13, 2012.

  • Shipping out to Cape May in 8 days! December 6th. The anxiety is setting in...

  • @badzulu44 Good Luck; I Wish You The Best. I Wish I Was Shipping Out That Day. Lol.

  • @liviebabee Actually my recruiter called the other day and cancelled less than 48 hours before I was supposed to ship out, mostly due to budget cuts :( . Looks like I'll be shipping out in March... Guess I'll start looking for another job.

  • shippin out feb 14th as well!!

  • Mr.Monkeygorilla; In a declared war by Congress, the Coast Guard falls under the U.S. Navy as a fighting force.

  • if war comes to the united states would the coast guard be invovled or would it just be army, marines, navy, and air force

  • How do you join?

  • @kumane93 You have to talk to a recruiter, ace the ASVAB, be in good physical condition, and have not killed anyone or done drugs in the past. Pretty much.

  • Im thinking of Joinning either the Coast Guard or the Air Force, just want to know where the best way to start up your own business or what not..

  • @andrey87ish Air Force would seem like the way to go. I just don't know why lol.

  • @andrey87ish In the past I served in both the Navy & the Coast Guard. There is a great difference between both services. Alot depends on just what you want to do as a job in either service. there are certainly pros & cons in both. If you like foreign travel & see the world choose the AF. If you like to be near the US maybe CG is the better choice. AF will get you in harms way quicker and more often. You got to like the color BLUE ! Not the easiest choice to make.

  • q-182!

  • I spent two days here for my NJROTC class..

Even though I got screamed at a lot, I didn't want to go home when we left..

  • Proud Member Romeo-185! 16Sep-04Nov 2011.

  • When you arrive at Cape May be sure to ask for the RAMP treatment

  • November 15th.

  • Anyone else taking off November 1st?

  • the DI has the most New jersey accient ever! lol 4 years BTM hoefully

  • Shipping out Feb 14 , 2012 :)

  • @Coastie119 nice, Im dropping off my application tomorrow at my local recruitment office, anything I should expect?

  • @Conekillah yeah, a whole lot of crap from your recruiter. Its really nothing they can explain and its really nothing you can prepare for. just hold on for the ride.im sure basic will be fine but afetr that youll probably hate it until you get used to it.just remember your the new guy and noone will respect you until you prove yourself.its how it is.its hard and no fun at times, but it pays off. im 6 years in and no way would i quit.20 years for me. i love it.

  • @Coastie119 very great and good luck..thank you for serving

  • @seeg91792 thank you :)

  • @Coastie119 good luck bro

  • @Coastie119 Me Too(:

  • @liviebabee CONGRATULATIONS God Bless! I take my ASVAB test In January 2012, any advice?

  • @Coastie119 CONGRATULATIONS God Bless! I take my ASVAB test In January 2012, any advice?

  • @Coastie119 Hey good luck and remember its all a mind game.

  • Comment removed

  • @Coastie119 where do i go for info? im really interested..

  • @Coastie119 Me too guess I'll meet you there, Semper Paratus.

  • @Coastie119

    all the best !!

  • @Coastie119 Me too only difference is I'm in the USAF! Goodluck tho.

  • I used to want to join the USCG but i'm ineligible to enlist in any military due to having Ulcerative Colitis. Completely unfair lol :-(

God bless everyone though in the service. :-) It's something to be proud of

  • now leaving on the 3rd of january...semper paratus

  • @mazambike1 thanks for serving and good luck bro

  • Im a Sea Cadet. I want to be in the U.S. Navy when i grow up. But i also think that the Coast Guard is not just a group of pussies. I think that the coast guard is the navy of the coast.

  • Comment removed

  • i want to join the coast guard for my country and family first, but hows the benefits and pay?

  • @phish1085 being a non rate sucks ass

  • @phish1085 If your looking to serve your country than enlist in a real branch. Coast Guard is little more than border patrol.

  • @cashnougat210 Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, ignorance is bliss eh

  • 1:52 LOL "Drill Instructors" ? Nope they are called Company Commanders shipmate!! Or "CC's"

  • im considering joining the coast guard and im working on my endurance, what are the best shoes to run and do PT in?

  • @wandawanda23 lol The ones they give you and tell you to run in. LOL

  • @wandawanda23 i ran track and field for 4 years. Asics are really good you can get them at footlocker. look for shoes that are really light. the Reebok realflex are really good its so light if feels like your running barefoot. trust me it make a big difference. they are both good and will help you improve speed and endurance. good luck!

  • I agree with TheNextgenmods because:

    1. Longest training

    2. Toughest training

    3. Best looking uniforms

    4. Every Marine is a rifleman no matter what job you have.

But all in all guys we fight for the same thing and share the same enemy. Lets win our wars.

  • Best branches , 1.air force 2.coast guard 3. Navy , the rest are strict branches , but I mean these guys deserve it they actually paid attention in school . I'm such in infantry btw

  • @AWSOMELYRAW doesn't matter what you think is best it is opinion i think the Marine Corps is the way to go it is just my opinion i want to go Enlist at 17 in the Corps no matter what score i get i will serve as infantry even if i score high on the entry exam i want to server with our guys in the front

    Semper Fi, OORAH Marine Corps!

  • ship out august 30!!!!

  • @NickMaciasTube haha me too, Navy though

  • @NickMaciasTube Good luck, remember, its just a game.

  • @NickMaciasTube Do we really take a bus or do we fly.

  • @JkillaJ15 My helmsman says we arrive to Philadelphia international Airport to the USO and I guess from there we take a bus like 1 in the morning to Cape May! -(Now leaving September 13th due to the Hurricane)

  • Comment removed

  • @NickMaciasTube dude were leaving the same day cant wait dude were gunna be in the same class

  • @NickMaciasTube cool im on the delayed thing cause im in highschool. I have to wait till i graduate. Were you in NorthCarolina?

  • @NickMaciasTube LOL Cool For yall. I went in 15SEP98. This is my 13th year of service.

  • OH SHIT NOW IM SCARED

  • I ship in Oct !

  • @rockgrids what do you mean?

  • @rockgrids Damn good luck bro, You think your ready?

  • @JkillaJ15 well my recruiter told me if you don't bring any shot records to MEPS with you, that morning, than they just draw blood and test it to see what shots you need.

  • Shipping out in a little over a week.

  • @Karkinelite fuck i hate needles i wonder how many times they inject you. Im suppose to be going in as well.

  • Y in the fuck do they yell at people fuck that..I would probably punch one of them in the face...

  • @DabbsBiotch you probably work at mcdonalds for a living too

  • @ericsyutubeaccount I actually work at bongo java.........I'm in college

  • @DabbsBiotch good luck getting any further in life

  • @ericsyutubeaccount Hehe I don't need luck...have a good one..........

  • @DabbsBiotch To see if you can handle the stress. also to discipline you. If you cant handle someone in your face yelling then you might not be able to handle the fleet. Its not that bad really.

  • @DabbsBiotch And you would probably be destroyed. Boy do you think you're some kind of cool crap being 19 years old acting like you can whoop the ass of anyone you lay eyes on? You're the kind of guy that got beaten down all through high school. You might be in college, but the idiot we have in the White House was also. I guarantee your major isn't English, since you type like a toddler in the ghetto.

  • leaving this october for basic...semper paratus

  • @mazambike1 semper paratus, agreed!!! my recruiter is a POS though im goin in novemeber... i feel like hes lying and idk if there is even a USCG bootcamp in november... do you have any info?

  • @nickdrowe you are probably pushed off till november bc coast guard is only allowed a certain amount of people and there is boot camp in november because i go in october till december. just for your information.

  • I leave for basic on Oct. the 18th..Im ready for the challenge! Of course, its probably going to be the hardest 8 weeks of my life :)..Got to prepare as much as I can. Any tips?

  • @1986battery move fast, move with a purpose, and (although it won't seem like it at the time) have fun. your going to get a lot of it.

  • I'm going into my Sr. year of High School, well-educated and well-equipped, and really want to get into the USCG. I haven't taken the ASVAB yet, but am planning on taking it twice this year. How does one get into Boot camp, enlist, and get the time for school?

  • wanna do this shit, fucking wanna do it

  • Sierra whats the number though????

  • Wow their instructors are scary similar to Marine DI's. Never knew that

  • just emailed my recruiter today.... Can't wait .

  • why are you yelling at me!? Anyways I never thought I would ever Join the coastguard especially after the amount of shit talking I threw at them. Navy Jerked me around on my enlistment just got back from the CG recruiter today. Coast Guard here I come

  • I did 8 in the coast guard. wouldn't trade it for the world

  • @airplanebuilderman Why did you get out?

  • @1986battery Got married and had a family

  • @1986battery But, had fun while i was in

  • Lmmfao everybody bare backing.! No under shirts.??

  • i'm 17. 5'9(still growing) 155 lbs. can pass all the physical tests for the coast guard. and i was wondering is it likely for me to get in?

  • i hate that people disrespect the US coast guard just because they think that they aren't like the other branches, i was in the marines but in no way do i see coast guardsmen lower than me, they serve their country just like any other branch, and along with the other branches, the coast guard is in the middle east as well, fighting for their country

  • @Punisher541 what?! they are in the middle east?!

  • @B34STYxWELLMAN yeah bro, they are working with naval forces

  • @B34STYxWELLMAN Yeah. Who do you think guards US Navy ships abroad? Not the Navy thats for damn sure. USCG man. Any US military port in the world is guarded by the USCG, as are all domestic military docks and most civilian ocean docks.

  • U.S.C.G. Is thee hardest service to get into, period. It is not about who is better. We all have great respect for each other and there will always be inter-rivalry debates but in the end, veterans can sit down and respect each other (anywhere, it is a fraternity). Its mostly dumb sh%ts that haven't served that start this bs on u tube, Semper par, fi, eveything else. Most respect.

  • ok i have a serious question, is their a specific job for catching drug runners, or do u just go in as a gunner mate or somthing.

  • What are the qualifications of getting into the USCG Boot Camp? And does everyone that enters the camp become a Coast Guard at the end of camp?

  • Comment removed

  • Getting anything less then a 60 on the ASVAB is unacceptable for Coast Guard, not many people can stand up to the heat, they hold you to a higher responsibility level then even the Marines.

  • @GunsOfThePhoenix I just spoke to a recruiter yesterday and he said you only have to score a 45 on the ASVAB to get in, unless it's different in each state?

  • @rhikanda Thats the score that is required but most, if not all, won't take less than a 70. I scored a 77 and my recruiter won't take anything below 70.

I leave for boot camp on June 14th.

  • Coast Guard was #2 in the physical part and #1 in academics in 1979 Cali boot camp

    Foxtrot 124

  • It's a lot easier than it was back in the day....

There's so much stuff they can't do to you anymore....

  • I'll be heading to the US Coast Guard boot camp in may. I just hope I do well

  • june 7th... im going to be a part of this

  • @echo2gecko I'll be on that bus with you man! David from newyork..

  • i rather join the army because its easier than this

  • @acegambit54 You are in for a rude awakening! Army is way tougher.

  • what exactly is the coast guard doing in Afghanistan?...right

    -U.S. Army 25th Infantry

  • did anybody else curse this video out the whole time. C-184

  • Can you join at 17 with a High-School Diploma and Parent Consent?

  • @DezTheBeastBryant88 Yes you can join as long as you have consent and a diploma.

  • My bro left today to boot camp for coast guards an I already miss him and feel REALLY scared for him :(

  • an old coast guard saying. taken from the life saving service."you have to go out. but, you don't have to come back"

  • Im in the army right now and I only have two more years left I was trying to find out ..If the Coast Guards accept prior service

  • Department of Transportation.....

    Nothing more to say...

  • @RunningSwimmingMan

Coast Guard is no longer DOT. After 911 the Coast Guard became part of Homeland Security.

  • @TamCommunications I thought Coast Guard was department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Department of Defense and Department of Transportation all in one?

  • if women are in it its not that good.

  • As a Vietnam Veteran I have seen alot of action and with not the help of the other branches like Marines, Navy, Coast Guard, Army, and National Guard I'm proud to serve next to other branches that have done there part and I want to Thank you for being part of the United States Armed Forces to protect and defend this wonderful nation of ours. God Bless all Men and Women of the Armed Forces.

  • I want to Thank all of the Men and Women in the military branches for serving their country. Thank you for protecting us from terror and terrorism. Every branch is important to any person that goes in now days, there all good branches.

  • Yeaaaaaaaaaa Coast Guard

  • Don't need to send me video's, doesn't do any good for me anymore, seen that many moon's ago.

  • Sorry Pasi1024, want to talk about military, been there done that through the Navy and Air Force, I served 30 years so don't get me started, I'm a disabled vet through Vietnam, have you been there have you served the front line, I bet you haven't seen the front line where all the action is, you are to busy handing me supplies that are needed on the front line.

  • @robby581 Front line??? This is a war on terror, there is no "front line". Because 10 years ago the "front line" was in Manhattan, and our soldiers were FDNY, EMS, NYPD, Port Authority, etc... DONT YOU DARE TELL ME THAT MY SERVICE IS LESS VALUABLE THAN THAT OF ANY OTHER!!!!... I have RESPECT for all of my brothers and sisters in the U.S. Armed Forces... And I think your full of shit being a veteran based on the way you talk... P.S. We are the only branch with a war and peace time mission.

  • epic training these guys do in The Cost Guard . i hope my cousin can handle it ^^

  • The Pussy Branch, this is not like the real branches, Marines make this look like vacation.

  • @robby581 HAHA yea right. The Coast Guard has the second hardest boot camp in the military and thats only because the Marines have the crucible. You cant compare because in some senses the Coast Guards PT is the most difficult. And dont get me started on Marines because I spoke to one who scored an 8 on his ASVAB. God makes em, they take em.Its a 75 just to qualify for the Coast Guard... But you wouldnt know any of that because your just a civilian. Leave the military talk to those who serve ; )

  • @robby581 bet you don't care about anything. Just got to prove how much better you THINK you are. In WW2, as I said earlier. Some would take 1 trip on an Civilian oil tanker or other cargo ship. Get so scared that they would join the military. Including your marines. Once again. not knocking the marines or any other service. Iwo Jima, is a good example. Just don't feel so almighty!

  • why in EVERY military video do the editors of the video feel the need to put a shitload of shots of women?? its probably 10% women there and wayyy more than 10% of the shots are of women

  • Take it from someone who graduated last week, it was one of the most unique and memorable experiences of my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything. If you're having hesitations or considering enlisting, take the dive and give it your all. If you're sincere in your intentions and 100% devoted in everything you do, you won't regret it.

  • these guys save lives on a regular basis, they need to be appreciated more!

  • honestly i got mad respect for coasties

in my opinon they are the equivalent of the natiional guard due to its only based on us waters

but the toughness of the marine corps

  • THey don't even fight do they?

  • You guys can check out my new Coast Guard Boot Camp book its called UNDERCOVER CC: AN INSIDER'S GUIDE TO SURVIVING COAST GUARD RECRUIT TRAINING. If your interested then its on sale and today is last day. Thanks guys good luck to you all!

  • oh my god this is hilarious, it's been 2 years, but I still remember how much that sucked.

  • Cheif Ruchser is the shit. nuff said ;)

  • Coast Guard bootcamp looks tough. Too late for me I already have my contract with the Navy. CG looking good.

  • Feb, 15 2011 baby

  • I'm debating on the Coast Guard or the Marine Corp

  • @sjgiants12 Well, Marines are a branch of the Navy and the Coast Guard can be assigned under Navy command during war time. The Coast Guard ships have the weapons to support Ship to Air warfare and light combat.

  • @sjgiants12 You debate very carefully because you are talking 'bout night and day. One things for sure though, the only way you will ever be able to call your self a Marine and wear that Eagle Globe and Anchor is to go Corps! If you just want to be in a service and get your GI bill or what not, the Coast Guard and Air Force are EXCELLENT choices.

  • @getemhi You DO realize the CG put the Marines on Guam in WW2 and saved your asses at Guadalcanal right? We've been brothers in arms before there was a Department of the Navy, lets not hate on eachother, I figure the two oldest services this fine country has to offer should have SOME respect for one another.

  • @silvert00 Not really sure what you read for me to get this kind of response. No one is hating anyone. What I have stated above is pure fact. I am just giving advise. I myself was in the two services. USMC and the Army. I did one for the title and the other for fun. The title DOES have a certain prestige. A prestige that can be obtained only one way.... and that is to earn it. There is no reason to go Corps unless you want that title. Even in the Army... they called me "Leatherneck".

  • @getemhi my bad, i misinterpreted what you meant

  • Coast Guard does its job 24/7 on a daily basis, there is not one day that goes by where we don't have a SAR mission or an LE boarding. If we are not in a war time situation the marines and army don't do shit but train all day.

  • Leave in 2 days. Stoked!
