  • We butter the bread with butter - Wir Gehen An Land?

  • Mappy says "Stay off-a the streets and don't do-a the crime like these-a cats here. I'ma not-a mouse to be-a messed with. Arrivederci!"

  • lo jugue cuando tenia 12 años

  • It cuts off right before the end =(

  • @Frank371292 That'll be YouTube's fault combined with inexperience on my part, keep in mind this video is two years old and I eventually found a way to counter this problem.

  • @Frank371292 @Otouto72 I really hate it when YouTube cuts the end of the video, it's happend to a couple of my videos too, it's so annoying!

  • @kedeuger Yeah they can be right cunts for that and as a perfectionist myself it drives me mad when it happens.

  • Catchy. As. Hell. 5/5

  • @TheDARKYOSHI64 I love this tune, fantastic piece of music.

  • :)

  • Ah, this is great! I love Mappy, and absolutely adore all of the game's music. Making this my ringtone, thanks!

  • @CrazyPikachu7 Mappy's awesome, absolutely one of my favourites ever, the game, the music, the mouse, just brilliant.

  • Wow I've never seen the uploader respond to so many comments before!

  • @subencons Yeah it's just something I'm accustomed to. From the beginning I felt like responding to a comment but I was a little green then at the time, however I've continued because I feel like I can connect with the person by a simple comment and together we can share memories, opinions and so forth. I know a lot of people simply don't respond to comments and I suppose they do get in the way a bit when you're trying to read comments as such but I just try and it's for me the best part of it

  • @Otouto72 Cool man, that's very unselfish of you. :)

  • @subencons It's just something I normally do which for me is the best part of this whole thing, to interact with the viewers regarding certain opinions and it has made me a lot of friends here, it's funny what one response does.

  • @Otouto72 Well you seem like a nice person anyway, you not only read your comments but you respond to them as well, who wouldn't be friends with you.

  • @subencons I've heard that one before lol. Sometimes I do get into trouble with my gentlemanship and I've been betrayed numerous times but it's just who I am, I suppose can be a pain in the butt by caring too much but I never thought too much existed, but I've learned a lot of lessons in my time on YouTube and one of those was don't change who you are and so I won't.

  • *V* I love this. And I loved playing it.

  • @Angeliclily Yeah Mappy's awesome, one of my all-time favourites. Love the game, I really can't get enough of it.

  • Love Mappy! Awesome!

  • @palrido I love Mappy! One of my favourites ever.

  • I seriously think Namco used this for the inspiration for the music behind Pac man world!!!

  • @y2k4ever1 Good inspiration if you ask me =)

  • @Otouto72 Indeed!

  • mookalada mookalada (singing to the song)

  • @tbtechwiz Hehe I love this song, one of my all-time favourites!

  • Mappy rules.

  • @2FunnyVersionIV I love Mappy, one of my favourites

  • MAPPY THE ITALIAN MOUSE!

  • @xJORDAN99x Mappy's awesome! One of my favourite arcade games ever!

  • mappy is my favourite games by namco

  • @LUGIA249PRODUCTIONS I love Mappy - definately one of my favourite arcade games ever!

  • @Otouto72 I am utterly stupified that my nieces, ages 5, 10, & 15yo, love this game! I bought a bunch of Plug'n Play TV games (Jack's Pacific & such) & they play it every time they're over. I am trying to turn on the younger generations, to the joys of retro gaming! :-) BTW, it's not always strictly about "graphics". There are many fun 80's games out there. "Halo" & World of Warcraft, cool though they might be, are NOT the end all of video gaming.

  • @gjc82071 I just LOVE your comment! =D The retro games were definately the best, there's so much charm in them, graphically maybe not so but gameplay wise they were simple to just pick up and play and they are indeed a lot of fan. I am simply not a fan of the likes of Halo, World of Warcraft, Call of Duty, I can never for the life of me get into those games at all.

  • @Otouto72 Thanks! :o) Halo is cool. The Atari 2600 version that is! LOL. Have you seen it? Some guy from Microsoft programmed it, & put it on real cartridges. You can download it free & play it on emulators. I haven't played the "real" Halo, WoW, or Call of Doodee. I'm a retroholic & play classic games almost exclusively. BTW, did you use MAME to make this video? I LOVE MAME! I am always looking for new retro gaming friends, to play online via Kaillera Client. Have you ever tried it?

  • @gjc82071 I heard about Halo on the 2600 but I haven't seen it myself. I have a number of the retro consoles and games myself, best thing I done in a long time, getting those old games back was something else. And yes I did use MAME via dip switches, I pretty much just froze the screen and let the music run. I have not played Kaillera, I am very aware of it but I've never used it and honestly I'm not sure if I will, online gaming is just not my thing.

  • @Otouto72 If you search here "Atari 2600 Halo", there's many videos, in case you're curious & just want to see what it looks like. If you like Atari 2600, you'd love Halo. It's a really cool game. If you actually want the game, numerous free ROM downloads are available, just google it. As for MAME/Kaillera, that is rather disappointing/unfortunate. I've tried it several times & found it to be really fun, especially the 2 player games where you can play together. Well, think it over?

  • @gjc82071 I will look up those videos today, I actually believe someone mentioned it before but I can't remember who. Yeah simply put online gaming works for some but not for me, I have a subscriber of mine who constantly uses Kaillera and he's never had a problem with it, but I never feel comfortable on an online enviroment. Maybe one day though. =)

  • @Otouto72 Well, if that day comes, let me know. :-) I have been trying for literally over a year to find people for Kaillera. 2 months ago I found 1 person & we played every Sunday for a month, then they disappeared. I haven't found anybody else yet, though not for lack of trying. This subscriber who "constantly uses Kaillera". Would it be out of line if I asked you to maybe, mention me to them? LOL. Maybe they'd be interested. I just really want to play online & can't find people. Thx!

  • -dances- 8D

  • @Angeliclily Ooh shall I join in! =D Yeah this tune is among my all-time favourites!

  • lol. i recently bought namco museum ds at gamestop, and i'm pretty good at mappy.

  • @RandomRobloxian Oh yeah its such a gem of a game! Really simple gameplay and extremely nice music!

  • What sound chip did Namco use in thier arcade machines in those days?

  • @cookie123456789012 I haven't a clue LOL Should I find any information I will forward it straight to ya!

  • @cookie123456789012 They used a Namco 15XX series chip in most of their games from 1982-1984. It provided 8 channels of sound, each with a programmable 4-bit waveform.

  • @someone64 thx!

  • @someone64 Ooooh thanks for this, such helpful information! =) Gracias! =)

  • One of the best arcade games ever. No doubt about it. It even gets better the further you advance in the game.

    imo better than Pac-Man.

  • @RandomGuy1994 I love Mappy, one of my favourites ever, still plays great today.

  • im 15 and i freakin love this game its AWESOME

  • @ImJMadness I can't blame you, in fact I admire you for that. One of my favourite games ever.

  • Just goes to show that mice can do more than you think ^.^

  • @LaddytheOutcast Absolutely, they can be video game icons too! I always loved this game, one of my all-time favourites.

  • ...also the 'Game Over' music is about my favorite of all games. Very subtle. BTW, for people who follow that stuff, check out Bomb Jack too - some great tidbits.

  • Oh yeah. This used to suck quarters out of my pocket BIG TIME, and you've found the reason why.

One question, however -- if there's any way to know -- WHO wrote it? I assume it was someone working for Namco at the time?? What else have they done? How can anyone find out this stuff??

  • Fuckin RINGTONE LOL

  • I'd wish you'd done the NES version. Especially when he get's hit and spins around. I LOL'd hard on that one.

  • Yeah I'm seriously lacking in NES content as well as Genesis, Game Boy and Master System. It's something I am working on right now so expect a huge chunk of uploads for these consoles in the coming weeks.

  • well sorry if I'm appearing pushy. I would actually do this myself, but since my computer is down at the moment, I gotta rely on you.

  • =) It's okay man, it's not something I'm not working on. I have the in-game music recorded for Mappy and all and should upload it either today or tomorrow.

  • Love playing this on the PSP in the Namco museum collection, the music when you get caught is hilarious

  • weee... mappy!!!

  • I think 0:25 to 0:34 is my favorite part.

  • I love this game! The music is brilliant, the gameplay is simple yet superb. I never thought I'd have so much of a liking for a mouse but there you go.

  • how did you get this theme?

  • Ripped it from MAME. I froze the screen and recorded the audio.

  • i love the mappy song!!! i used to play this all the time when i was like 6

  • I love Mappy, great game :)

  • ohhh how i love mappy and that song!!!

  • I love this game. This song is one of favourites!

  • I love this music! haha reminds me of the good old days. Thanks for putting it up!

  • No problem! I was glad to have put it up, it's one of my favourites.
