I have to say mate this is tremendous. Great vocal. I first heard this song when I was very young. The version I heard was performed by ROY GUEST with THE TENNESSEE THREE & JACK FALLON from and album called Cowboy. I could never get this on CD. Some other great tracks such as Mountain Dew too. Anyway great stuff :-)

Thanks very much for these words. My wife used to sing this song with me, and, oddly, my "higher vocal" ended up sounding a lot like her voice, though in fact it is my own. Next time I'll get her to sing it.

You are welcome. Actually, Jimmy Rodgers introduced most of us to this old cowboy song. The Weavers also had a beautiful rendition, part of which is reflected in the second voice I used as a backup. Yes, it's a great song.
