  • This version was a real turd as I remember it. I think the guy doing the narrating is the name one that did stuff for the Drive-in's movie theaters.

  • the same music when dagwood meets honey is always on Gilligans Island when Ginger acts sexy,

  • The theme song sounds like it was composed (and probably recorded) in less than five minutes. "Dagwood, my favorite bauble?" Not only does it not make any sense, it doesn't even really rhyme.

  • and i pretty sure it wouldve been a hell of a lot easier just to go to the damn chinese restrant.

  • i can see why this got cancelled so quickly

  • So let me get this straight: Charlie Brown & Lucy are now brother and sister, and their dad is the guy who played on "Sugarfoot"? And his boss is Thurston P. Howell III? And the guy who runs the diner is Mr. Miyagi? Actually, the lady playing "Blondie" is pretty nice, although not quite as voluptuous as the comic strip version. Is it just me, or does Will Hutchins look a lot like Craig Ferguson?

  • Should of been called "THE BOCEKS"

  • that dreadful singing on the opening theme is why people couldn't stand to watch this show.

  • if Dag would have worn the shirt with the single button like in the comic strip, maybe this would have been alright. I think the restaurant owner was Pat Morita .

  • Blimey, was this show as bad as the intro? The Lake/Singleton films were terrific, thankfully I don't think this ever made it to the UK...

  • Does anyone know of, or ever seen, footage from a Blondie episode, "Pick on a Bully your own size" ?

  • @GJNCA I vaguely remember seeing the promo for this series, but our local channel never showed the series itself.

  • @GJNCA I thought that boy's voice sounded familiar!

  • Ms.Harty's second and last attemp to star on a tv sit com was"Herbie The Love Bug"with Mr.Dean Jones(One of the original actors from "The Love Bug"film comedies)and Larry Linville in the late 1980's.Needless to say..this second series was a flop and it was quickly cancelled.

  • the penny singlton version from a much earlier time was better

  • @GJNCA

    Really? that's awesome!

  • Let's face facts, not all comic strips translate well into live action TV.

  • I'm a 60's TV and music junkie and I can honestly say I had never heard of this program. Even this 60's "flop" show had a great theme and that cool look.

  • I'm a fan of the comic strip but that was just plain awful. At least Blondie and Honey were Hot.

  • Visit my new Blondie '68 blog: lookinforblondie68.blogspot.com/

  • This lasted 14 episodes???? That was too long for this failure....@ 4:30 isn't that Pat Morita from Happy Days/Karate Kid fame?

  • WOW! I just barely remember when this CBS show was on. It is one of my earliest memories of TV! This wasn't the first time Blondie appeared on TV, however. NBC had a Blondie sitcom in 1956-57 with Arthur Lake repeating the role of Dagwood that he played in the 28 Columbia theatrical features. Strangely enough, that series didn't finish its first season, either.

  • Thoses kids are the voices of Charlie Brown and Lucy from the Peanuts cartoons. I am sure that the boy's voice is of Charlie Brown.

  • CARTOONS AND COMICS WERE BETTER!!

  • Simply...not funny.

  • @bufford4 Should have stayed a comic.

  • you have any episodes of this show even if it is 14 episodes

  • I have some, looking to trade for more.

  • Wow, some interesting tidbits while watching this stuff. Both kids were Peanuts alumni; Peter Robbins who played Alexander was the voice of Charlie Brown and Pamelyn Ferdin who played Cookie was the voice of Lucy. The 'sexy' score music was by Gerald Fried and was lifted right from the Gilligan's Island soundtrack score. And right at the end of the clip you can hear the score music that was used in the King Features Syndicate, that also included the Beatles cartoons.

  • Well, Al Brodax was an executive producer on this show as well as the Sat. morning Beatles cartoon show.

  • I remember this show from when I was 5 or 6. Can I find it on DVD? I like this one better than the comic strip.

Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow was rebuilt!

Sts.Constantine&helen(on Stoney island Ave) in chicago and Haigha Sophia (aka St.Sophia or Holy Wisdom) in constantinople (AKA istanbul) will be Christian again soon!

    Glory to God Forever!

Glory to God for all things!

    It's Constantinople NOT Istanbul!

    It's Smyrna NOT Izmir!

It's Stpetersburg (or Petrograd) NOT Lenningrad!

  • And starring Tiger as Daisy!

  • It's ahame that CBS didn't renew "He & She' for a second season...I think "H&S" might have caught on with another season and better time slot.

  • The opening is based on the 1939-'50 radio version's "cold opening", where the announcer declared, "Uh-uh-uh-uh, don't touch that dial! Listen to....{Arthur Lake as "Dagwood"} BLON-DIEEEE!!". The first TV version (1957) used a similar clarion call....

  • Again, as in the 1966-'67 "preview", each segment could also be seen individually on some stations, often late at night. This version of the venerable comic strip [now in its 79th year, currently written by Chic Young's son, Dean] aired Thursday nights at 7:30pm(et), opposite NBC's "DANIEL BOONE", and cancelled in January '69, Harlan Ellison once wrote that the network had a choice of taking this series, or renewing "HE & SHE" for another season. From the same people behind "THE MUNSTERS"...

  • @fromthesidelines,

They cancelled "He & She" for this?!
