I am a sophomore electrical engineer, so I am not yet up to these guys level of knowledge, but by the time I'm a senior, I hope to know more than they do. My TA in digital logic lab is just like these guys. He designs circuit boards for my university and runs servers that students can all get free whatever they want. I can't wait till I become a nerd!!!!
Need some help. Cannot get into my router to pick a wifi connection. I bought the Linksys wap54g access point. Do I need a different router? Also, do I still need a modem? Having trouble finding places that still sell routers with the TCP connections.
I have a KTI DirecTV dish with a 300mw usb wifi adapter, It works great! Only problem is I only get one reliable connection in my area... So if they stop I'm screwed
I had to use my neighbours a while back when I stupidly went for Virgin Media (UK) and on my "upto" 8MB connection I got >100kbps, it took me ages to connect waving my wifi dongle about for 10 mins, sorry neighbours ive stopped now.

Question: What stops you just connecting the huge antenna to your PC wireless receiver PCI card though the N connection adaptor?
Seems a lot easier then going through using a router as the wifi receiver.
