anybody that know how relible this car is please help me out! i want a deville or seville and i heard the engines are bad and i was wonderingif its a good idea to get 1 of these
@TheDylan222222, if you get one make sure it was maintained. With proper oil changes and radiator fluid flushes, the Northstars will go forever. I've seen quite a few with over 300k!
The '97-99 model years were the primarily bad ones (and I know plenty of people with them with no issues too). Try to get a 2000 or newer, and if you can get service records, that's good too.
does anyone know what the top speed is. i have one just like it except color. mine is desert dark gold with a light fawn interior. has the275 hp northstar. i don't know what the rear ratio gears are. i've never had it up past 110 and it had no trouble getting there at all.
the car is immacualte with 87,000 on the clock. was owned by a retired pharmaceutical sales rep. who lived in port arthur, tx. and would make periodic trips to see her daughter in chattanooga, tn..i.e. highway miles.
@dale1966gto These are very reliable cars if you properly maintenance them. A Seville SLS most likely cuts fuel off at 112mph. Check your original tire speed rating by checking the sticker on the driver's door. That's how fast you can go.
