@army20067 actually the point is that you probably won't even see the kid drowning and if you do you might not understand they are actually in distress. instinctive drowning response in a non swimmer will actually look like the opposite of what you would expect. the thrashing you see on TV and in movies is acting...

I actually drowned yesterday but it was because my friend pushed me and I wasn't ready but lucky I use one time to come up and yell help and my best friend was there to help. I am really glad he was there. :)
