  • So are they stolen ?

  • Any legal owner could have visitors pay to see 271 Picasso. This could pay for the building , security and preservation cost of the owners legal collection. If stupidity doesnt spell suspicion of guilt what else does shyness.

  • Could someone post a video on how much stolen art work is still hot and missing, due to W11 alone. my guess is more than fifty percent of what you learn about existed in an Art History class.

  • OJ Simpson had the same thing done to him. OJ Simpson had personal property stolen out of his home by people he thought he could trust, when his back was turned. and he went to prison trying to recover them on his own. He knew they were out there, but where. ..Then they turned up, and he tried to claim them. Some of them had his signature on them..and he still went to jail for trying to get them back.

  • He could have been selling prints of each 271 of them, legally, but why not..Because they were stolen or hot. being looked for.

  • Even just having had them on exhibition they could self generate money for a owner. They could be published in a 271 page book...they were stolen.

  • Any state that knows of someone not preserving stuff like this ,hiding it in bad storage has the right to seize them He will be forced into a deal to turn them over to the state government. Its just like resident domain law, a state has the right to preserve its heritage..the guy could be a nut case.

  • 80 million is too small a figure for 271 ,..CNN knows what condition they were in ..damaged.Thieves often hide valuable art recklessly hoping for time to forget they existed legally to someone.

  • I personally think they were stolen. who is gonna live out of a messed up little hut like that and have kids then have 80- million hidden in the garage. who hides such delicate stuff in such poor conditions claiming to legally owing them. one nasty little spat with the weather and they could have all been lost, is that how everybody stores wealth these days. Enough Picasso s to fill a museum. The fact they were not being shared and on exhibit is conviction enough for me.,they were stolen.

  • I think 271 painting for electrical work payment is ridiculous, I would have given 250 tops.

  • I feel bad for the guy, I don't think he stole them, if he stole them why come forth at all? Doesn't make sense to me :/
