@R1valinc And Gears of War mechanics isn't taken from Resident Evil? Resident Evil had the 3rd person shooter mechanic way before Gears was even out. Gears only took it and refined it. @Treeton14 i know, i know alot about the orcs i play em in warhammer 40k :) but i still think that the orcs would blow it up, i base that on the fact that the shoot purely for the noise, so blow up something like that would make a big boom what they like :) and the most orcs don't atack a world to loot they attack to figth and then they loot. :)

And only Ghazghull is smart enough to attack a world to take a titen but sad enough he isn't in the game :(

Probably because GW uses them as a sort of baseplate for the other chapters.

You know "this is the basic Space Marine" then the other chapters have their own quirks (that may make you like them).

It's like saying the Rifles like HK416 and M468 and Beowulf are cool while the basic M4A1 is gay (but yet. without it the others wouldn't be there).

Although I could be completely wrong. I just think this is more possible than GW saying "let's make Ultra Marines camp as fuck".

I'm not going to rag on the ultramarines, they are a truly great chapter, nice background history, but i'd rather see more Raven Guard or Iron hands, not much lore on them excepts for event's in the Horus Heresy, and even then they are mainly known for the Drop Site Massacre, the Raven Guard being actually only known in lore from that, not much further engagements. I'd like to see more expansion into their chapter lore, both in game and the book series mainly the Horus Heresy

@YourALostCause I would like to see something from the Dark Angels. They need closure, and I think it would be great to play as them. Maybe the main leader in the campaign be a Master Chaplain as you carve through Orks, Eldar, and any other xenos and warp spawn to capture a Fallen to bring him justice.

@pathfinder756 The only chapters that really played a huge role in that were traitor legions. Namely the Sons of Horus, Emperor's Children, Death Guard, and the Thousand Sons. Oh and the... Iron Warriors? The siege guys.. Nemesis to Imperial Fists.

Anyway. For the most part Horus used the other legions as pawns. Specifically the primarch, Sanguinus, and the Space Wolves.

Because people who haven't heard of 40k see chainsaws, large men in even larger power armour, and a thirdpeson over the shoulder point of view and they just think, "dat a lot like gow" and it really isn't gow didn't invent thirdperson over shoulder, or using chainsaws in close combat as swords etc or even the concept of large men In power armour, it's mostly games workshop that did these things and epic liked it and copied it (to an extent).

If they do since they seem to encounter Chaos in this campaign then they should allow you to play as a Grey Knight. Ugh they could have went SOOOOO many different ways besides the Ultramarines. I am building a Brazen Claw squad, but i just love Space Wolves and Blood Angels the most... such ferocity.

@Inquisitorcabal They might possibly be, nothing is ever said to link them to any primarch. But there style of fighting kinda makes me think of Blood Angles because they arent blood crazy as much as say the Space Wolves, but they can be with the Black Rage. But they are a little more reserved as vampires tend to be, but they dont show too much alliance with either primarch... so its really hard to say.

@Animadellabattaglia It was green, until they realised that making green blood show up on green models is really, really difficult. Also, red blood is easily recognisable as such at a glance. This is why we paint Tau with red blood, though their blood is canonically blue like their skin.

@cazanova827 because they are the "prototype" of a space marine. any other clan go in a different extreme like spacewolfes or blood/dark-angels. so its easier for non-40k players to identify with them. if your first game/movie is about spacewolfs than for you spacemarines are wolf-men in future. i dont be so much into imperial fists so I wont say anything about them
