yeah cool riffs but cut way back on the effects wouldn't mind hearing some with distortion reverb and small amount of delay ,just enough effects to add some depth to your sound and your riffs would sound very cool thanks.

I agree with the delay, I already know DT wrote back but it's confusing. That's the only downside. Everything else though, you've got a motivated, exciting, and interesting person showing you some stuff. Pretty cool.

that first link is missing a note. you played correct in your first demo but the lesson missed the 9th fret E string for the 6th note. the right way to play is:

12fret-E string, 11f-B string, 9f-E st, 10f-E st,

12f-B st, 9f-E st, 11f-B st, 8f-B st

this also makes sense with the time signature 4/4

There are more than you see doing it. It's the marketing that has to change. Typecasting hurts as well. Living Colour was a nice group but they just didn't get the backing many white groups get.

If you look at it statistically, per 1000 white bands/guitarists there is 1 black (in rock at least; a bit different in Jazz, Blues). And only 1 out of a 1000 will somewhat make it somewhere. So apply the same to black bands. There is no discrimination. It's all bull. It'd be probably easier to get famous playing guitar if you're black, just 'cause that alone sets you aside. Living Colour were not consistently good.
