Well I own a timberpro, I have not just seen one on u tube or think it looks cool. My timberpro has went through 4 rotary manifolds with the 4th needing to be rebuilt for a total of 5. Pumps have been rebuilt and or replaced multiple times. Engine was rebuilt at 4000 hrs and they are saying it needs it again. My Timbco's, JD and Cats have not been touched and they have a lot more hours. My timberpro has just 8500 hrs. The latest round of repairs cost me $12,000. I think Timberpro is shit.
Maybe poor maintenance or destructive operation is the problem and not the machine. I have owned a TimberPro 630 or awhile now and also know other area loggers that do. Only machine I will ever purchase. Good reliability excellent production and the only company that offers decent customer support. You do realize that your Timbco was made by the same company that is now TimberPro.
Of course you are right to assume that, I would too. However, that would be wrong. I handle that Timberpro with extreme caution and care. In comparison to my CATs, JDs and yes Timbco for uptime and return on investment, I give it a resounding F. The manufacturer has not met my needs, but their managment blamed me as you did. Customer support ha ha. I will say they now finally have an excellent dealer in Pioneer Equipment whom may have finally set my machine up correctly.
@ForestyPro1975 You speak of Timberpro kindly, are you related to them or work in their factory? You want customer support, Nortrax and CAT fix the problems, they troubleshoot, test and identify then fix. A whole lot cheaper than WAG and throwing new parts at the symptoms while never finding the root cause or setting pressures. Thank God for Pioneer! I love my TIMBCO and I had hoped to feel the same way about my TP. I am truly saddened it has been such a holocaustic nightmare for me.
Just one more question, why then if we are rough and abusive on our poor TP have we had very few in fact almost no problems on our processor head? Would it not stand to reason that improper care and abuse would manifest itself in other equipment especially the processor head whose diet is 95% hardwood? I guess it does not matter anymore as I really just do not care anymore, I just did not want to dump it on some other poor guy by trading it off unto him. Uptime and ROI!!!
yep we have one to its great while its going.......could be designed a lot better
