Ghastly, SUP's are so thick and have such poor control as a result, the boards are also like parachutes, way too light. In short they are abominations

It is...but then it closes out and sends you into the rocks. On a big day, there's nowhere to go...you can't get back out so...you sacrifice the board and go rock climbing.

That board is a fourteen ft. pintail...not much for turning. The swell direction that day was from the north...which causes the wave to close out - sending you into those rocks. This is a sketchy place...not ideal for carving...you just set your line and haul ass to the channel.
