Most of Richy's rock and roll songs had a very small range
so I always though he really couldn't sing and they just wrote narrow range music for him --but much later I realize he sings very well.

I am astounded that anyone could ever have the opinion that Ricky Nelson sings well, and had a narrow range. Who do you think sings excellent?, The Beatles. You must tune in your tin ear, Ricky Had it all, voice, looks, hair, and could sing anything, from Rock n Roll, to Country, to Pop.

Bright Lights and Country Music was originally released in 1966, Country Fever in 1967. was made available as a CD with both albums. Probably still available online, or Ebay.

I had a vinyl double Country album by Ricky got it at a used vinyl records sale, after I loaded all the songs I wanted I gave the album away, I now wish I hadn't...... I don't remember the album title, probably " Ricky Sings Country"....... I have seen a comment on another of the songs I uploaded that there is now a CD of this but I have never seen it.

beautiful, he was so talented, Lonesome Town is probably my favorite Ricky Nelson song, I ve been able to find a few of the Ozzie and harriet Dvd's at various dollarstores, Ozzie was absolutely hilarious, comic genius, so was Ricky

Yes, and you have to be great to be as good as faron, Ricky sings country as well as anyone, it's sad they are both gone.

This song has prompted me to buy the country CD. I did not know Ricky could sing country this well. I really like his country selections.
