Even though I really hate New Years Eve and have spent the last 21 years of them performing as a SOLO musician in shitty pubs...Without being a pussy, New Years Eve always makes me depressed, sad etc... I question the sanity of people who pay to get into a pub where you cant move for pissed arseholes, wait an hour to get served at the bar, then have to walk home in the pissing cold because there are no taxis. I've not been out for 13 years on NYE but I worked it last year as a taxi driver and it was a nightmare. Just seems like its only the wankers who go out or kids who are yet to learn of the misery of NYE drinking.
There is always that pressure to do something but I'd rather just be alone.
