  • TRUE HERO AND LEGEND OF VALENCIA AND SPAIN

  • Thank you Mary for uploading this, and in good quality

  • @crazedNdiffused Youre welcome, I made my best, Im so glad you like it

  • All I can think of is that I hope someone went and stopped that poor horse before he got too far down that beach, 'cause that would totally suck to have a dead guy strapped to your back while he's slowly decomposing!

  • fuck to the crusaders

  • @themoorish1 well sounds like someone needs a ham sandwich!

  • Thank God that evil was defeated.

  • @modernredeye fuck you son of bitch wone day we will back to andalusia...

  • Great movie. I enjoyed watching it again after many years.

  • i like

  • One of the best movies i have ever seen. It speaks of chivalry and noble courage and the struggle of one man amidst human frailty. His fight was not against the moors but in making his king realize his responsibility to his kingdom and its people. Are we faced with the same problems today with governments who forget what they stand for.

  • @ronaldlledo1 No.

  • What the Hell? The Cid road into battle as a DEAD Corpse bolted onto a horse???

  • @akjunkie Yep. Scared the life out of the enemy!

  • @akjunkie It would have been difficult to it as a live corpse.

  • El Cid is entirely good and Ben Yusef is entirely evil here, and of course in real life they each had about an equal share of positive and negative traits. Ben Yusef's Moors, vicious in their spread of Islam, nonetheless gave civilization the first antibiotics ever, which they ironically created on the battlefield. By the way, I think the real hero in this last fight is Babienca, that valiant horse who succeeded in riding through an entire battle with a dead man on his back.

  • great movie

  • I was only one when this movie was done and after getting to see it many many years later, it is still one of my favorites of all time. They don't make them like this any more. Thanks for posting this one.

  • el cid was a noble man i give him that but also ben yusuf who wasnt potrayed very well in this movie he was a very humble man too humble to believe for a man who forged an empire from senegal all the way to spain never revealing his face and only eating porridge 3 times a day you can even see his tomb in marrakesh like a paupers grave his immediate descendents however lost the veils but 2 generations after his death and with it the empire

  • Thanks for posting,...one of my all-time favorites when I was a kid...I still have a scar on my forehead from playing at knights after seeing this movie....

Seeing Christians and Muslims fighting together as allies, as they in fact actually did under the Cid, is particularly ironic given the unfortunate state of the world these days.

  • @ExProforlife it was unfortunate back then also how the spanish did the muslim allies not to long after during the reconquista and then the inquisition
