I was forced to join this union on 2 differnt occasions, once when i was 16 when i got my first job i was forced to join and again at a differnt supermarket when i was 20. Ever sense that last time i have been 100% against any and all unions. Even the afl-cio's website says that what the ufcw did to me and others is a clear violation of federal laws that protect my right to work as well as my right to join or not join a union. google "right to work for less" the first link takes u 2 that page
why work for these employers all of them rip you off with union dues and the union does nothing they say they are for the workers not they shut our store down without the 20 days notice thanks allot the joke of a union all this job is min wage after union dues i would never recommend working in the grocery industry union or non union pay does not make a difference iam i making myself clear communists
lol have you ever worked in a ufcw shop i have the union is a joke i know what iam talking about go to unionfacts they have the info that they wont tell their members if i knew how little they pay i would have gone with walmart to begin with and walmart pays hire wages than ufcw does after the dues they force on you how is that freedom i would love to vote out the ufcw thugs and merit pay is better than seniority any day
unions are just as bad as the corporations they "protect" members from. unions have lost there moral compas as a true service to its members. they dazzle you with discounts to places, and so called "job security" but the fact is look at the last strike/lock-out and there results. unions need an overhaul because there are losing my and many ohters to union free work enviornment, we have osha, and lawyers that can do the same in "job security"
Workers Unite! Union YES! Stand together, or, HANG apart! Support Employee Free Choice Act! Workers have never won anything without speaking out and PUSHING! Union Busting will NOT defeat us! Solidarity NOW!
Exactly right - there's been an anti-union push taking away our basic rights as workers while jobs are shipped overseas for corporate profits. Unions are groups of AMERICAN workers exercising their basic AMERICAN rights to band together to improve their work situation and negotiate pay/benefits.

Unionized grocery workers usually have 15 dollar co-pays on doctor's visits. And earn between 12-16 dollars an hour.
Non-union grocery workers make between 7.50 and 10 an hour. With 60 to 90 dollar co-pays for those that even afford the insurance.
Shouldn't the people who put the food on the shelves be able to afford the food themselves?
In solidarity my brothers and sisters.
