  • i feel bad 4 the sheep..

  • This really helped me on my Spanish - American War Test XD

  • good moral=hello nurse

  • John McCain wrote this

  • Shit, I just learned.

  • Gyah.

See, where I live, no one likes anything that's... good.

I never thought a show like this would relate to my daily life.

But last week this was shown in a Social Studies class.

    AND IT WASNT MINE!

    I was happy yet sad.

    Animaniacs forever. <3

  • Caught this God-send just in time for the reruns of this and tiny toons GO ANIMANIACS WE NEED YOU BACK!!!

  • i was born on 97 and i still appreciate this good cartoons

  • Isn't this the same beat to the song 40 miles on the Eerie Canal? I say because they say "40 miles on the Panama Canal".

  • @myvideogameprincess just looked it up, you're right. Thanks for that info. The Panama Canal is actually 50 miles.

  • Yay 4 the jumpsuit donkeys!

  • I'm 11 as well and I totally agree if only this show was still on :( - sigh -

  • @Catlover264 i thought only me and a couple friends knew about this show in our age group!!!!!!!!

  • This is for sure the best show ever . And I'm just 12 and I know the stupid ones on the tv. So yeah :)

  • @BlueberryKiddie Im 11 and I prefer this over the crap on TV nowadays, Oh thank you youtube and netflix

  • @Kaboomywizard HIGH FIVE I'M AROUND THAT AGE BUT A COUPLE YEARS OLDER and yeah.......this is my favorite show....my second fvae: pinky and the brain. my third: ....the regular show. yeah yeah it's one of those 'crappy shows' but hey we all have opinions

  • @chickentastegood9 he likes regular show too he just likes this better(i know becuase im a stalker[jk im his friend])

  • @BlueberryKiddie yes!!!!!!!i hate it when these old people (ha ha just kidding all thes epeople are normal up to some degree) say that we suck because we never watched this show but our teacher last year showed us the states and capitals and a lot of my friends already knew about this show...yeah

  • I bearly remembered this show. I've spent the last few weeks racking my brain trying to remember it's name. Then, my History teacher showed us the presidents clip in class and I was so glad I finally remembered Animaniacs! *Cue childhood reliving*

  • Yakko forgot to mention the thirteen yellow fever victims. XD

  • I was born in the right time period :)

  • I remember watching the show and knowing it was like when i would be going to school. Because it was fun and i was learning a lot. Good times.

  • This is when TV actually was Educational. Shame they got rid of this show. They need to bring it back.

  • this song is to the tune of "The Erie Canal"

  • reminds me of what i used to watch when i was younger. sooooo funny. they should put this back on t.v.

  • We watched this in class.

  • i want a channel with only 90s cartoens(maby 80-90s)

  • nineties cartoons are great! does anyone know where i can buy their songs?

  • @gsflameheart1 Hmmm...not legally, no.

  • they stole the song from the erie canal that went from albany to buffalo NY :) but still good

  • @JacobTowsley This definitely isn't the first song they've parodied, so I'm not seeing a problem with it. :-) They pick a song that wasn't original so it's easier for kids to learn if they already know the melody from knowing the song beforehand, they just changed the lyrics and, as such, taught kids about The Panama Canal. :-)

  • you learnt a lot from this show in less than 5 min...miss this programme! :'(

  • I cracked up when they said that the canal was ''zen''

  • oh yeh 40 milles on thwe panama canal

  • and he cuts in line, typical panamanian behavior

  • oh man i was born in the wrong time period.... :(

  • @iwillsingforever SO WAS I!!!!!!!!!!! see, its not just the people who got to watch this stuff on TV who lie it! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA IN YOUR FACES! anyway, yeah.

  • @iwillsingforever I WASN'T~!

  • Man, I grew up with this and I've memorized so many of their songs, I love this stuff! :D

  • 100 feet wide 41 feet deep is more than plenty to drench a sheep.

  • they were right 2000 was the end of the world for good cartoons sad. No?

  • The Panama Canal is actually about fifty miles.

  • @WorldChallenge Oh well....I think 40 miles rhymes better then 50...just my thought

  • when i first watched this, i thought yakkos name was actually hal

  • Is it wrong that when like...watching this as a kid...I like...never once realized I was actually learning until years later when I was actually learning about this in school?

  • @Makenshi14 i never learned about panama canal in school but i learned about canals... stupid schools

  • who cares it's a kids show, it's still funny when your older. It's always funny

  • Animaniacs are the masterpiece of the cartoon renaissance.

  • at 1:18 pause.

  • @Stantzs Never say anything like that again.

  • @Runefan fuck You, panamenian dont like donkeys...... Ur mon look like donkey horse

  • this is horrabe

  • @21shawnman It's about 100 times better than your spelling, lol

  • stuck in my head. stuck.in.my.head.canal is my pal. must sail with low cal sodas......

  • 3,6 Thausend miles on Route 66.

  • The cat came back the very next day......

  • Anybody think Yakko meditating at 1:17, despite the song saying "really zen", is a reference to the introduction of Marlowe in Heart of Darkness? Just wondering...xP

  • @masael255 Personally I don't think so, that feels a bit too far-fetched. While this show was pretty clever, that's almost da vinci code level of elaborate referencing.

  • why do the panamenians look like Donkeys?

  • @runefan251 cuz we got a long shlong

  • @gtenshi lol, i am panamenian XD

  • @runefan251 so am I

  • So North America and south are actually apart. BECAUSE OF THE CANAL! So long travelling arouns S. America

  • I love the use of bass clarinet in this one.

  • that's great. That fourty miles of Panama canal will hunting me in my head forever :D

  • I meant: stuck in my head.

  • This is gonna be stuck in my for a long time. Lol!

  • @kirbymaster08

Wakko: *looks at the camera and blows a kiss* Goodnight everybody!

  • @irrespondible Its Yakko who looks in the camera and blows a kiss while saying ''Goodnight everybody!'' :D Not Wakko, Wakko's catch phrase was ''Faboo'' (:

  • @skykingthebest I know, I noticed the mistake too late. I mixed the names up.

  • even though by animaniacs standards this song isnt very educational and has some messy lyrics its still a very entertaining song :D go animaniacs!

  • he ment to drent Justin bebiver

  • I miss my childhood.... :'(

  • Eerie Canal tune! Narf!

  • @Stantzs Stupid? Animaniacs had some of the best writing since the original Looney Tunes.

  • I was only two when this show started!

  • haha I love my country

  • O_O ANIMANIACS SONG'S LYRICS ARE ALWAYS RHYMED

  • @RobloxVideo25 ...but if they weren't it wouldn't be a song.

  • For being a stupid kids show, this was really high quality stuff.

  • @Stantzs very edicational too

  • @Stantzs how dare you call this a "stupid kids show"!!! The stuff on now are the stupid shows!

  • @Stantzs what do you mean stupid?

  • @Stantzs "STUPID KIDS SHOW"?

  • @Stantzs Better than Spongebob, that's for sure.

  • Buaaahahahaha.... 0:53 Ear canal, root canal.. jajajajajaja

  • This was shown in my history class.

  • I need to visit the Panama Canal sometime, just to see if all the marine life will sing along with me :)

  • Wow. They don't make cartoons like this anymore. They teach kids about geography, and do it in a way that's fun for them. Oh, I miss the nineties.

  • The Panama Canal is 51 miles

  • up at 2:30 AM and that song is still stuck in my head

  • 7 people didn't have a tramp steamer named Hal.

  • great now i can pass my test

  • the song is a cover of the Erie Canal, a public domain folk song. written by Thomas Allen in 1905. It was not written by susan vega.. give me a break!

  • Who cares about that Panama Canal, only 15 miles.

  • @Diarkia124 who cares??? its one of the base of our ecomonic

  • 7 ppl only went 39 miles on the panama canal

  • "Yo Hal, try the canal!"

    "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't do that."

Kudos to those who get the reference.

  • @Neverhoodian I don't get it.......

  • The Erie Canal (Susan vega)

  • @nygge

The Erie Canal by Susan Vega :)

  • where is the melody from? Very catchy!

  • Ah, the times when cartoon songs actually THAUGHT children something.

  • i can not hear the words panama canal without laughing

  • @evolvedgeek13 WHY?? That's rude, kid!!!!

  • i love panama :)

  • I Like This Better Than Errie Kanal Which Is What This Song Is Paroding

  • Is it me, or is Yakko ALWAYS dancing?

  • @morgan1159307 honestly, i think so :DDDDD

  • @morgan1159307

I don't know, but i don't see him dancing in any point in the video. XD

Am i the only one that thinks the whales at 1:30 are ugly/scary/something? O_o

The animaniacs should come back, the youth this days is screwed...

  • @nachelio Then pay attention next time you watch the video

  • I Always Loved This Song

  • I was born in 1993 and remember this cartoon well. It's always been my favorite :D

  • Poor sheep.

  • What's a sheep mean.

Does it meant Yakko were new New Zealand ?

  • This is so old cartoony, I expected the boat to sing

  • @daganliberal Just in case you didn't know, this is from the mid-90's. It is not so old.

  • @MrGolly10 I was born in the mid-90's

  • @daganliberal You were a toddler when it ended.

  • @MrGolly10

    That's nice.

I just read my original comment. I wasn't implying the cartoon was old, I was commenting that the talking whales, boat and style of this piece seemed older.

  • @daganliberal Can you reply to your own comments and get them in the inbox?

    I sure hope so.

  • @daganliberal nope :[

  • What tune is this song sung to?

  • @felixfaster 15 miles on the eerie canal, or Low Bridge

  • @felixfaster "15 Miles on the Erie Canal"

  • why are the whales singing?

  • @nw5111 Why do you care?

  • 6 people ain't taking the panama canal

  • omg this keeps getting stuck in my head

  • this reminds me of tom waits for some reason.

    this show was soooo good.

  • Steven Canal Ear Canal Suez Canal Root Canal Erie Canal Canal St. NY Canal No. 5 xD

  • whenever we have a half day, my spanish teacher lets us watch these... YAY! I AM A VERY HAPPY SEVENTH GRADER!!!!!!

  • I like the singing Turtles!

  • @89Animeknight erie canal

  • i check it out KelliYakkoPetrelli thanks!

  • @89Animeknight your welcom :)

  • "it's really Zen!" lol! Oh the writing. So clever.

  • no kidding

  • Eerie Canal spoof LOL

  • I'm a big Animanaics fan too, and even though Yakko is an unidentified animal I think he's cute!!!!

  • @hiedgar

I thought he was a dog?

  • @monny287 Actually there was a song called "What Are We?" And the Animanacs told Dr. ScratchandSniff they weren't bats, cats, dogs or bees. I think you should watch the Animaniacs clip "What Are We" and it will make sense.

  • There are a lot of jokes and references within the stickers in the back of Yakko's ship.

Root Canal, Alimentary Canal, Canal N°5 (reference to Chanel N° 5), Suez Canal, Steven J Canal (Reference to Stephen J Cannel, I think he was the A-team series' producer, or maybe McGyver) Ear Canal, and a couple more I cannot see well.

This show was so, so funny and smart at so many levels.

  • Poor sheep....

  • I've been singing this song throughout my entire day, I can't get it out of my head! :-D

  • I think Yakko sings the best in this song

  • There are 4 mules at 0:50. Guess where the 4th. one is.

  • The animation is very top-notch on this one. Even by Animaniacs standard.

Yakko reminds me of Steamboat Willie.

  • I learned that 100 X 41 feet of water is enough water to drench one whole sheep!

  • @OnlyChildsPlay wat, 410 feet?

  • How many miles on the Panama Canal?

  • epicly awesom e beyond words that humans can imagine

  • yo. where did i hear this tune from. it's really bothering me that i can't tell what it is!

  • @wiiS360 It's from an old song called Low Bridge (Fifteen Miles on the Erie Canal)

  • i think this show holds the record for catchiest songs

  • that poor sheep swam 40 miles across the panama canal

  • @supahdan18 IT WAS NOT A SHEEP, it was pink and the brain, it was in the middle of a episode when they tried to drench the world of water

  • This show is great!

  • o:41 cutting the line FTW

  • Go WRG

  • Yakko has sucha great voice. I'm glad he's actually singing normally for once instead of singing really fast or something.

  • I think that song is sung to Sixteen Tons

  • @Lcool3513 the original song was called Low Bridge.

  • Whats that tune it's so familiar O.o?
