no i recorded it in sucky quality. and then rendered it in 720p

doesn't matter what capture format you use, but if you create a media file (.wmv) in pinnacle studio, you can choose the option for 720p HD, but it reqiures studio plus

i used pinacle studio to record in 480p then rendered it in sony vegas pro 8.0 in 720p:)
