  • prince is playing all the sounds you hear.

  • still luv the time

  • Love this song, I was in California when it came out. My husband was in the military and I was all alone, and very young. I only had my music, and this was one of my line up songs to play on those lonely nights.

  • @252 Jessie Johnson He Killed That Guitar Solo

  • so what your saying is that, that's one bad white dude.

  • Token white guy LOL!

  • DOES IT GET MUCH BETTER THAN THE TIME??????

  • The time had its talent....Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis went on to produce quite a few popular albums! After producing and business steered towards a "different" concept...music industry changed..... Strong influences had a very strong decision on business..

  • This a shout out to anyone that lived on Arcola St. when this song was released

  • OH SO GREAT! Perfect music...close your eyes and just let it in....Magic! Thats the THE TIME...Always hits your soul...Always a great sound in my life.

  • These guys epitomizes cool! and I can honestly say, when they hit the scene, they gave me something to strive for, and because of Cab Calloway & Morris Day, I still to this day love the zoot suits, baggies, and of course those Stacey Adams.

    hints my u-tube pic-LOL.

  • One of the funkiest jams back in the day...still works today!

  • GREATEST UPLOAD ON YOUTUBE EVER!!

  • The Time brought new insights into their music and dance like it was no tomorrow. Their style and lyrics brought the truth during this era of the 1980s. And Morris Day was the front leader of the group that brought their style to the forefront. Their sound was different and crisp. These memories has brought me back to my teenagehood and starting out as a young adult. Keep them riding high on youtube.

  • My favorite Time track.

  • If you really listen this song sounds like HEAD. Another Prince project.

  • @gjohnsonplayer123 this is a prince song with morris on lead vocals. none of the other time members actually appeared on the first 3 albums. Just prince and morris. u can hear princes backing vocals quite clearly.

  • @getreadytowiggle1991 Yes thats what they are saying

  • @getreadytowiggle1991 yes that is what they are saying. My mom would say boy if u dont turn that nast music off.

  • Music always sounds better coming from smooth cats. I still roll off all this Time issh....Peace Mellow Man Ace.

    KEVON kevon?

The dude that sings better than Whitney Houston, is that you?

  • That's Monty Moir....I thought he played keys, but Jimmy had that covered....

  • @PointofBlu Jimmy was on one side of the band on keys and Monte was on the other side with his keyboard.

  • @JEDI7ACEN Thank you, young Jedi.

  • Remember the token white boy blonde in the group. His job was just to stand around. Reminded me of the one mobster in Silky Slims gang in Uptown Saturday Night.

  • @kevonedmonds You must be thinking of Paul Peterson, he wasnt in the band at this stage and he didnt just "stand around, he played keyboard.

  • @UndergroundGrooves Love you Kevon, and your brothers. Just shoutin' out to ya!!!

  • @kevonedmonds Uptown Saturday Night...best movie ever!

  • @kevonedmonds It was Monte Moir, idiot! You're the token jackass of your family. Nuff said.

  • @kevonedmonds helllll no thats funny as hell!!!!

  • @kevonedmonds If you are referring to Monte Moir - he is the original and current keyboardist for The Time, as well as songwriter and producer for Janet Jackson, Alexander O'Neal, Gladys Knight, and others. Also credited for working with Vanity 6, Deniece Williams, Thelma Houston and various other artists. His greatest writing successes were writing the first side of Alexander O'Neal's solo debut as well as "The Pleasure Principle' by Janet Jackson.
