  • i was born with a left eye that was premature with a dead nerve so I've worn a cosmetic glass eye over it since I was in the 2nd grade. you mean to say I can actually get an implant? would they have to remove my eye to do that? i'm kind of amazed realizing that. any info would be so much appreciated. how's it feel btw?

Your real eye would have to be removed in order to place an orbital implant behind the eye socket. The implant feels fine, I wouldn't even know that it was there if I didn't remember having surgery last year.

  • You got the moves paramont-better than ole Willis' rolling peepers. Your clips are a great inspiration to those facing enucleation. Bravo!

  • Thanks cyclopsical!

Having had little or no prosthetic eye movement for over half a century, since losing my eye in childhood, I just wanted to add that these results are due to the brilliant work of a fine ophthalmologist surgeon, and the unsurpassed skills of my ocularist at Mager and Gougelman, Inc., NYC. I am very, very grateful to both of them for their dedication to creating the best possible results for all of their patients.
