My understanding is that when Jesus comes the people will be caught up in the cloud and that is the rapture. He's coming like a thief in the night. 2 people will probably be somewhere doing something and next thing you know one of them will be gone. No warning or nothing. No thief will tell you that he's coming to rob you later at night. So like a thief He's coming. Hope this helps

@ImplantedAgenda No not at all. The Rapture is when Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is going to come back and receive His children that have all accepted Him beforehand. The 7 year tribulation after the rapture is the bad thing. The people that weren't saved before the Rapture will then realize that the Bible is real and that they should have gotten saved before it happened, but then it will be to late. To be Christian after the Rapture, you will have to be tortured/killed for your beliefs.

It is the the resurrection of saints and the changing from our temporal bodies to our eternal bodies. We meet him in the air to reign upon the earth with him.

@wp4866 You are right in one aspect. Many who go to church are indeed going to be left behind. However; those who are "called, chosen & faithful followers" of Christ will welcome the Rapture. Some church structures will remain full of people who "thought" they were good, kind, deserving people who should have been included. There will be, however, some large segments of Christians who will go "home" to the Lord at this time. I hope many church buildings will be empty.

When people understand that God Himself left the glories of Heaven to be incarnated as a human being, was physically tortured & died for our sins, then recurrected to go back to Heaven, some are truly amazed, others scoff. @joy29forever Question. What does "dead in Christ" mean? Cause it says they're going first? It can't mean the people who are saved but died before his coming, cause that would mean that our souls stay here on earth after we die, which is contradictory to the many places in the Bible that says we go to heaven right away. My interpretation of "dead in Christ" is actually the "unsaved". Meaning God is going to remove the EVIL from the world first, before he takes the saved. Am I wrong?

We don't have souls, we are souls and we don't stay on earth or go to heaven right away. Nothing supports that. When we die, we are dead. God keeps our souls against the day of judgment and only He can bring us back. You are wrong: the bible says the "first fruits" will be harvested; and then the stubble or weeds burned up.

It is POSSIBLE that the rapture is true, but it's never clearly stated as fact. My understanding is that when Jesus comes the people will be caught up in the cloud and that is the rapture. He's coming like a thief in the night. 2 people will probably be somewhere doing something and next thing you know one of them will be gone. No warning or nothing. No thief will tell you that he's coming to rob you later at night. So like a thief He's coming. Hope this helps

@ImplantedAgenda No not at all. The Rapture is when Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is going to come back and receive His children that have all accepted Him beforehand. The 7 year tribulation after the rapture is the bad thing. The people that weren't saved before the Rapture will then realize that the Bible is real and that they should have gotten saved before it happened, but then it will be to late. To be Christian after the Rapture, you will have to be tortured/killed for your beliefs.

It is the the resurrection of saints and the changing from our temporal bodies to our eternal bodies. We meet him in the air to reign upon the earth with him.

At His 2nd Coming, He sends His ANGELS to "gather" the people who made it through the Great Tribulation. They NEVER meet Christ "in the air". Mark 13:26-27. He then separates the Goats from the Sheep Matthew 25:31-46. The Christians who died DURING the GT are "resurrected" AFTER Christ returns WITH us. Revelation 20:4-6

@wp4866 You are right in one aspect. Many who go to church are indeed going to be left behind. However; those who are "called, chosen & faithful followers" of Christ will welcome the Rapture. Some church structures will remain full of people who "thought" they were good, kind, deserving people who should have been included. There will be, however, some large segments of Christians who will go "home" to the Lord at this time. I hope many church buildings will be empty.

geee....this only proves that religion or any church cannot and can never ever save anyone... salvation is not through works not religion..it's through a Person and that Person is JESUS CHRIST!!! All we have to do is to admit our sins and our need for a Savior, we should acknowledge that we cannot do anything to gain our salvation, we should believe in our whole heart that JESUS ALONE can save us, and we should receive Him as our own personal Savior. It can't mean the people who are saved but died before his coming, cause that would mean that our souls stay here on earth after we die, which is contradictory to the many places in the Bible that says we go to heaven right away. My interpretation of "dead in Christ" is actually the "unsaved". Meaning God is going to remove the EVIL from the world first, before he takes the saved. Am I wrong?

We don't have souls, we are souls and we don't stay on earth or go to heaven right away. Nothing supports that. When we die, we are dead. God keeps our souls against the day of judgment and only He can bring us back. You are wrong: the bible says the "first fruits" will be harvested; and then the stubble or weeds burned up.

@Coolangel4lyf But that doesn't say anything about WHO is going to be taken? How do we know the one taken was the one saved and not the unsaved? It doesn't say. It is POSSIBLE that the rapture is true, but it's never clearly stated as fact. So what I don't understand is why so many churches make a HUGE deal (doctrine) out of the rapture, when there really isn't solid scripture to back it up.

It is sad that so many make fun of God and the Bible. Many will indeed be Left Behind. Being saved during the Tribulation will be possible but it will cost you your life. You will be killed, most likely beheaded, for your belief in Christ. It will also be very difficult to even survive during that time as there will be MUCH turmoil on Earth and the Antichrist will be in charge. PLEASE repent now and seek God. Maranatha!

It is transliterated into Greek letters rather than translated, and is found at the end of Paul's First Epistle to the Corinthians (1 Cor 16:22) . @MsEmergencyfan: If you accept Yeshua (Jesus) as your Lord and Savior after the Rapture the anti-Christ will try to kill you. He will kill everyone who will not worship him. There will be many martyrs during the Tribulation. It will be an awful time on earth but if one accepts Yeshua even though he/she may die for their faith they will still enjoy eternal life with God.
