@forthere The point of changing a company (if not staying in the dying one) is to raise her career into an upper level. From her performance you can tell it's compatible to Joey's, just that the award ceremonies don't reflect the truth since it's a record company game. She can sing, but with BMA it was just a dead end. Although Joey keeps saying she doesn't care anymore, she does. It's human nature to be competitive. To be exact, Jade is also a winner from New Talent like Eason...

@alienvisiting everyone has different paths like us in our career. one can plan and get prepared for an opportunity however, there is never a guarantee, regardless that you are talented/capable or not. many factors, controllable and non-controllable, will make a difference.

@forthere Totally agree. But after all this is a business, and in order to climb up, you need a company that treats music partly business - bma certainly wasn't it no matter how hard she tries. She has now clearly and successfully elevated to another level. Just in anyone in life; if you're stuck at one point, move on no matter how much you'll miss that point, because life isn't long and no one on earth and afford to waste time!

@forthere And also, despite how much we say we don't like prizes under any circumstances, an award is like an appreciation and an acknowledgement of being there for the process. Not receiving anything after trying every year will make the participant eventually give up! Good exposure for her singing here.
