This is a good example of how having a full orchestra adds to the performance. Everything but the kitchen sink as we say in English has been thrown in - trumpets, woodwind, surging strings and some nice pizzicato strings as well.

Ihren ersten Auftritt hatte TEREZA 1966 für Monaco mit dem Titel BIEN PLUS FORT (damals die Wunschkandidatin von Grace Kelly), drei Jahre später belegte sie den dritten Platz mit DUE RAGAZZI bei der Vorentscheidung für die Schweiz (auch auf YT zu finden), dann 1972 representierte sie mit MUZIKA I TI Jugoslavien, in der 80er Jahren war sie im spiel als Kandidatin für Luxemburg, man vermutet mit dem Titel TAN PIS POUR MOI (YT)...

@tasosk3 Damn, you Greek tart - I was about to say wonderful opening then that horrendous chorus jumps in, verses are beautiful but the chorus seems to be from a different song. The dressed Usher Hall seems to reflect the avant garde 70s with the garish next to the classic - just check those Xmas streamers fluttering in the wind at the entrances - left over from Santa's Grotto me thinks. They probably cost £10 then but now 1p per 1000

And, indeed, a very 70s decoration for this stage (see also those series of lights all around), which I quitelike, I must say. It's not my favorite stage of the period (that honour goes to Amsterdam 1970), but it's an interesting one nevertheless.

Whatever you or Tasos say about this song and its shortcomings, it is very much a song of its age, but for me it remains still one of the best entries from the old Yugoslavia. ARE we travelling back in time! The Usher hall is tiny! And is such a stupid choice for Eurovision - the contest was given as a gift to the Scots for Lulu winning in 1969

@ESCsince1968 Tereza was the queen of this event, and it was very unfair she landed at 9th place. this song contest held just 6-7 months after big riots in former Yugoslavia when students and politicians have expressed a desire for Croatian independence from Yugoslavia. Forces that were ruled eurosong then: France, UK, Spain and the Netherlands are not allowed Tereza win, because she represented the TV Zagreb (as a member of JRT), and Zagreb was the capital of the Croatia in that time too.

@IIEFcenter Gluposti, da nije bilo Srbije te godine Tereza nikada ne bi otisla u Edinburg, jer ju je u to vreme Srbija volela vise od Hrvatske i nikada je Srbija nije poistovecivala sa Maspokom nikada do 1990. Pa, ja sam baš preslušao SVE pjesme s tog ESC-a 1972, i mogu ti reći da po mom mišljenju i nije bilo bolje pjesme od ove, mada je APRES TOI bio ogroman hit u čitavoj Europi. Ne valja zaboraviti da je YU bila jedina socijalistička zemlja na ESC-u, a ko što smo 60-ih i 70-ih gubili zbog politike, tako smo i pobijedili '89... tako da je politika uvijek na ESC-u igrala glavnu rolu, sve do dana današnjeg. Ali to ustvari nema veze. političke prilike se brzo zaborave, a PJESME OSTAJU!:)
