Forgot to mention this application is not freeware. I didn't notice until I downloaded, installed and opened the application, which then told me I need to pay a ridiculous fee to activate it, or just go to the Pirate Bay and get it for free.

Great for beginners. But...it doesn't take that long to get a handle on CSS in the themes. You only have to install firebug in FF to see immediately the changes you make. Experiment...experiment and then experiment.

Until it makes use of more web technology, it is not recommended. Your better investing your money in a theme from somewhere such as Theme Forest. They usually have a nice Ajax slider, various theme options and some are designed specifically for certain types of website.

However, Artiseer is still a cool tool it just needs a new edition. For example there is no social icons on any of the designs.

I've played around with artisteer extensively, you can make fairly unique themes but they always seem to be missing something that I can't quite put my finger on - they still have that "template" look...I would suggest learning html and css and create your own - you don't really need to know PHP to create Wordpress themes, you can just copy and paste the PHP code from the stock themes.

anyone who can use a photoshop, or even the GIMP can create a completely own theme with psd2cssonline. Personaly i prefer that way, not the artisteer. Artisteer makes his own tags and it isn't so customizable as i want to. So for BASIC, boring and not completely YOUR theme its ok but no further. I tried artisteer and i don't like it. And one more thing... After you export that complete theme you need to edit to remove the ads by artisteer and edit copyright in the usual way.

I own this software, and while it works and is quite impressive, I never used it because of its limitations. Namely, every page has to look the same, the code it outputs is complex to edit (let's say you wanted to add a Featured Content Gallery for example), and the layouts are only good for "blog" type sites. It is a great tool though for a beginner.

Artisteer makes lame WP themes, I guess their ok for peeps who don't know how, but dude, it costs like $400! You could just pay a pro that actually customize it any way you want.

It definitely WON'T let you customize anything you like, not even with the design, much less the function. But still good for peeps who don't know web design, if they can afford it and aren't picky. (pretty small market whuh?)
