ok thamk you also sorry if my friend created any upset really kind of odd he would ask on this reciepipe when it has alcohol in the title. and strange he asks oothers when I make it witout alcohol quite often

if I may ask though what kind of flavor does it add?

@Abercrombie10112 Definitely. Do it as i made it without the alcohol & it will be great. If you want it to be creamier add 1/3 of a cup or more of thick cream to it once it's cooled & mix it in :)

@Gauzl No you can leave the alcohol out of you want & if you want it to be thicker add some cream to the mixture after it's cooled :)

The best eggnog I have had was at a friends house where they used a commercial premade mix and then floated big BIG dollops of vanilla ice cream in the punch bowl with the eggnog. I'll bet your method with the ice cream icebergs would be over the moon!

Eggnog is always my favorite holiday drink. I try to stay away from it as much as possible because I buy the premade kind in the milk containers and they use heavy cream instead of milk. It is SO good though. I feel guilty when I drink it...lol
